No Man's Sky - Procedural space game

I admit it might be because I am using a keyboard and mouse, or I am doing something wrong, but I have given up trying to do anything in space that involves shooting, the ship seems to take forever to respond and then when it does, it goes to far

Yeah same position here as well. Only way I can win is if I take the battle to the surface of a planet and kill them there. It seems the AI is pretty useless when not in space. (you can pretty much line your craft up and shoot them till they die without getting a shot off)
All they had to do to make keyboard work perfectly for flight is allow a keyboard assignment for nose up and nose down... But for whatever reason, yaw, roll were ok to be included but pitch was not LOL

I think I have found about 10 ships so far but the last one I decided to 'salvage' caused my current one to not be accessible. Loaded up the current save game and it had disappeared. Along with all the stuff I had on it.
Went back 40 mins to the manual save to get it back. Not read anything about a ship limit anywhere, is there a way to 'disown' some of those you have claimed?

With all the effort Hello Games have put in, have they actually changed the end game at all or does it still just reset back to the start?

I have an interesting bug. I had a mission waypoint telling me to interact with my "base computer". The base computer was inside my freighter, below the floor, therefore inaccessible. Eventually I gave up and warped to the next system. Popped back to the previous system in my fighter, and the waypoint was still there. I could fly right up to it, but there was no way to interact with it. Not sure if this is game-breaking (there might be some unique mcguffin gated behind this mission?), or just thumpingly inconvenient.

I have a proper base on a planet several systems back, but interacting with the base computer there doesn't do anything.

I'm probably missing something silly, but....I started an online game with a mate, when i switch to play it solo i'm in a completely different area, no base on planet etc. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes its game breaking, I've just had to start again because of it.

You can carry on if you want, but you'll never get any new blueprints to manufacture anything with so your progression stops now.

Absolutely raging with it, my new game after that bug is absolute rubbish. End after end of toxic planets that want to kill me in 0.5 secs and im suck with just the starting gear as cant afford any new multitools or ships.

No, I read of another played who got stuck 100k lightyears away from their own area.

No shortage of bugs at the moment. They’ll get fixed soon no doubt. Some real big ones though.

Did you move the freighter you mean?? I just moved the freighter out of the current system and it sorted it for me.

Coming on nicely, getting huge adjacent tile bonuses.

This is a save from just one patch ago. There seem to be more bugs than ever. Still enjoying it though.

Yeah I'm thinking I might leave it another 6 months or so, weekend just gone was my first gaming weekend in months as I was on call and I've wasted 13 hours in one save thats bugged out and 7 in another thats made no progression whatsoever.

When I got back into it I was as excited as when it released to go discovering new stuff, so I might aswell quit before it annoys me so much it gets ignored for another two years. Was loving it until the last few hours too :(

Even more annoying is seeing others have no problems! I seem to be constantly having to reload because somethings catastrophically broken, ships bouncing around in freighter entrances and the like.

It doesn't mate, like i said if you move your freighter and the marker stays in space then you can never get it to reset. Theres variations of that bug.

Hopefully they get all of these fixed. That said, they have a tough job. They have save games to repair with several different problems and keep introducing new bugs too.

It definitely needs a few months.

Does anyone know why the adjacent boost isn't appearing on my photon cannon module?

For some reason it's not even working. I should be getting three beams rather than two .

I'm probably being a moron...

Hopefully they fix the shooting your own ship when shooting at things bug. Really annoying.

That's just a module mate, it's not adjacent to the weapon. You've placed it by your canon.

Did you follow the steps? It might not be 100% proven reading that post right through, it does appear to be working for a lot of people.
