No Man's Sky - Procedural space game

What extras will Beyond include? Can't see video sorry blocked

Will it make it more fun rather than, off to work boring?

To quote the devs:

Beyond will contain three major updates rolled into one larger free release. These changes are a mix of features we’ve been dreaming of for a while, and a reaction to how we have seen folks playing since the release of NEXT.

An expanded Online experience will bring a radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together.

Meanwhile VR support will bring the entire game experience to life in virtual reality. Grab the joystick and thruster to fly your starship over an unexplored alien planet as you peer out of the cockpit at the view below. Reach into your backpack to grab your multitool, touch it to switch to terrain manipulation, and carve out intricate shapes with unprecedented control. Play in multiplayer and casually wave to your non-VR friends or fist bump your VR peers. Anything possible in No Man’s Sky, NEXT or any other update will soon be ready and waiting as an immersive and enriched VR experience.

I suspect a proper reveal trailer will be coming within the next week or two.

its a shame I reached the centre of the galaxy in Permadeath mode and got 100% steam achievements, I think I'm burnt out after 357 hours playtime. It's great to see them still adding content to the game though, VR doesn't interest me in the slightest.

is that it?

Obviously not, but they've yet to elaborate on the details. People suspect an overhaul of the multiplayer component, and the addition of features that didn't make it into the game originally. Apparently there will be some major engine optimization to accomodate VR, so expect a huge performance increase across the board.

Looking forward to digging in to it, being a first timer. Like many games nms was a holdout till it got the VR treatment. Experiencing worlds for the first time in VR has taught me to hold on and not spoil things.

Surprised no one has put the official trailer up yet, so here it is.

There seems to be a mixed reception at the moment, but there's a few obvious changes in variety, not to mention the addition of features like mounts etc. I'm sure we'll see a complete changelog nearer release!
