Underboss
the new update does look good
That's pretty much still how you start off. The endgame sees you almost never mining and producing the resources yourself instead.Has the core game loop of mining resources to fly in space to find another planet to mine more resources to find another planet changed ?
So what's the consensus, is this worth picking up now?
OK, just bought it.Yes.
I'm not convinced it's really a game tbh but you will probably get 12+ hours before you realise it's pointless tech demoSo what's the consensus, is this worth picking up now?
Let us know how you fare!OK, just bought it.
It really is like marmite. There are people like you who aren't fans of these type of games, and then there are others who can't get enough of it putting in hundreds of hours.I'm not convinced it's really a game tbh but you will probably get 12+ hours before you realise it's pointless tech demo
so whats the point of the game after you get the ship where you can send ships on missions etc?It really is like marmite. There are people like you who aren't fans of these type of games, and then there are others who can't get enough of it putting in hundreds of hours.
My main reason for getting a Steam Deck was to play a handful of games I really like, and this is one of them. At the time of this writing, there are over 24,000+ positive Steam reviews with playtime of over 100+ hours. I think that's a pretty impressive tech demo!
The point of the game is to explore. That's it. The journey is the point. It's a game you don't finish, at least not in the traditional sense.so whats the point of the game after you get the ship where you can send ships on missions etc?
That's totally fine dude. No problem with that. We can say the same for some other sandbox games (Minecraft and Terraria are a couple of examples).I just don't see the point of exploring with no aim and no advancement
I found myself enjoying the game more than I already did when I stopped looking for a "main quest" or a structured form of progression.I just don't see the point of exploring with no aim and no advancement
