No Man's Sky - Procedural space game

Any reason to pick ps4 over pc for this? I have the choice of either but generally go for pc if available in both platforms.

I don't personally see the point in pre ordering a game to be honest.

Well games like FIFA and battlefield I know I'll buy so if I see a lower price I'll happily pre order (I've already bought battlefield 1 for £29!)

Other games like no mans sky etc I wait until it's out to buy

Unless you will buy it regardless.

I fully intend to but NMS, but only after I've seen people I trust play it and give an opinion, seeing gameplay is key for me these days though and that comes from someone who backed Elite: Dangerous and Star Citizen!

Like I said I intend to buy it, but having been super keen in the past (X-Rebirth comes to mind) I'm not sure I want to throw money just to play on day 1.

Then again we're all adults, our money, do as we please :D

I preorder most games. I couldn't care less what other people think about a game. I'll get it myself and decide. There is almost always enough info about before release for me to tell whether it is worth getting or not... Though tbh this is one game where there isn't enough info for me. I'm going to need to see more before deciding.

I am considering pre-ordering it but at the same time I don't. Ever since I pre-ordered Colonial Marines I have been scarred.

The only game I have pre-ordered since was GTA5.

Why would you? It releases a few days after the USA here, so you can wait for them to give their verdict on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and still pre-order it before Friday if you want any pre-order bonuses.

Makes zero sense to pre-order.

Thats a very good point. I was going to pre order as tbh I don't like the idea of not being able to play it while waiting for the reviews, I'll just get impatient and buy anyway, but like you say might aswell wait for the US reviews.

As has been said, it is a very good point. Thank you for reminding me of that!

I will wait and see what is said, fingers crossed is isn't basically a procedurally generated tech demo with some interactivity.

I'm still cautiously optimistic about this game, definitely not going to pre order though, I can wait a week or two.

Same here. I never pre-order any more unless I've actually played the game myself (e.g a beta). We've seen far to many overhyped games turn out bad.

Though I suppose Gog and Steam have a refund policy now so it's not so bad.

That's exactly why I have only pre-ordered GTA5. By the time it came out on PC it was already extensively reviewed, played and tested. The only thing that could have been wrong was the port.

With steams refund available i don't see what the problem is? if its that utter rubbish i wouldn't bother installing it and get a refund?
