Hmm you might be right, so options on ps4 version might not be same as pc ones, but hmm is there any pc gameplay footage thats out there and confirmed pc so to see if theres less pop in? As ps4 version looks terrible with it.
Just the nature of the game I guess and the scale.
Literally I'm using ALL my willpower to not watch a single video on this.
It hurtses us precious!
The unfortunate truth!
After much deliberation i have come to the conclusion that NMS will not be the great space exploration game many of us are expecting.
I have been on the fence about this game for quite some time and have now thanks to a lot of the leaked footage and discussions there of realised that NMS is a HUGE gimmick.
NMS is a "space exploration game" and yet it is massively limited in terms of your ability to travel and move.
There are no actual solar systems in NMS just planets within a certain distance of eachother and the stars are just part of the background "wallpaper".(ever wonder why we have never seen a solar system map just a "galactic map"?)THERE'S ONLY SKYBOXES!
This is also why the day/night cycles are just scripted and the same on all planets.
Essentially you "warp" to a new "solar system" and planets are spawned infront of you so you warp closer to them and land , collect ur resources then "warp" to the next bunch of spawned planets and so on.(why when you warp to a new system the planets are always within view range?)
You can't fly around the solar system since there isn't actually any space beyond the very limited boxes that are created around planets in which all space stations also exist.Your just "warping" from planet to planet.
I may be entirely mistaken here and i really hope i am but i truly think we've all been had!
WHY IS THERE NO SOLAR SYSTEM MAP???We cant see how planets are in relation to eachother or their parent star.
I read something on the Steam Community which was rather disconcerting:
I also read that a streamer spent the best part of thirty minutes trying to reach the nearest star, but couldn't. It was as if the star was an unreachable background object, if that makes sense?

Based on what we have been told, such as there being secrets in space which you can only find if you don't warp everywhere. Sean confirming you could fly everywhere without warp but it would take a long long long time. It would seem to suggest that it isn't skyboxes and really is one galaxy. However, even if correct I don't see it makes much difference. So you have to warp between solar systems rather then spending 10, 20, 50 hours flying on impulse between them.
There is a map with lists of solar systems and no one has tried flying to the sun because it would take days if not longer. Non issue tbh.
Tbh I would stay away from the steam forums prerelease. Vile place.

Let's also remember that the early copies are missing a few GBs of data, so let's wait and see before we have massive over reactions.
