No Man's Sky - Procedural space game

£40 is a hefty investment in a game these days, minus costs of any DLC, so people want to get their money's worth. There is the refund option in Steam but I don't know if 2 hours is long enough to evaluate a game like this. Personally im waiting a little while after release for more reviews

Meh, £40 isn't much of an investment for me tbh.

Do we know when on the 12th this will unlock? It is annoying that they haven't said. Hopefully we will find out along with any possible preload later in the week.

I don't see it as a particularly expensive game, heck I remember back in the Sega Mega Drive days seeing Street Fighter 2 for £60 and a lot of others for £45-£50.

If you factor inflation into the equation £40 is the equivalent of £28 or so in 2000 so nothing much has actually changed.

People just don't want to pay £40 for a game from a small dev. Had EA or Acti had made this, the price wouldn't have been an issue.

Shouldn't the quality of the product be more important than who makes it? Especially being that if this was EA it would probably be a broken mess with endless DLC being added.

Yes it should :)

Well personally I think it'll be better quality on launch than most things the "big devs" have launched in the last 5 years and will be better supported too.

I understand that £40 may be a lot to some and not a lot to others, but I will happily pay that for a month's worth of entertainment. I feel this will last longer than a month though.

Pre ordered from Steam which is rare for me, I normally shop around but thought I'd give it a punt... Hell if I play it for 5 mins then I've played it for 5 mins more than over 200 of the games on my account.

Does it release in the US of A tomorrow? VPN time I think :)

It's PS4 tomorrow, PC launch is worldwide on the 12th.

As far as I'm aware, it'll release on Steam this Friday worldwide.

It's the same price from Hello Games for a steam key as it is on steam, so if you fancy giving the devs the whole amount you can do that.

Just seen on Reddit some guy got a channel strike from Sony on Youtube for streaming it early..

Well don't stream unreleased games you wally!

Everyone and their mum on reddit were defending them.

Must hold off for the PC Version.. 3 days come on I can manage.

We have been waiting for about 3 years, 4 more days is fine!

Funnily enough Friday is the earliest I can play uninterrupted. Could well be an all nighter :D

Glad it is worldwide on the 12th, I can just about stand the PS4 lot playing it, but it was pretty unfair that some countries would get it well before others on the PC.
