No Man's Sky - Procedural space game

How does the steam refund thing work? Play under 2 hours, send a message to support and they will give you your money back?

It's done through the Steam client or their website mate, all automated.

Can choose whether to have it refunded back to your original payment method or to your Steam wallet.

The game is exactly how I knew it would be a repetitive shallow pointless grind fest with the only great discovery being finding out this game has everything yet nothing at the same time.

My main concern is that while it's a grand idea, it's going to be just like borderlands with its millions of guns. A few base models and billions of slight variations. Except borderlands had its story to keep you interested.

If they created a way for players to implement mission idea etc it could have a lot more potential. Think I'll be waiting a while to see what happens with it

Whilst I kinda agree to an extent, that would perfectly describe The Division / Destiny as well.

I don't know why publishers/developers hold off sending people like him a copy to review. It's going to happen anyway since they just go out and buy it if they don't :P

Oh, I didn't realise it had been released on PC yet?

The PS4 players in the other thread seem to disagree with you.

I'm now completely on the fence with this one. I was hyped when I saw the concept, as I've always been fascinated with space, and the prospect of exploring other worlds. However, it doesn't seem like there is a whole lot to do from the early videos and comments I've seen. I normally don't go by what reviews or the internet say, but I have to say in this case they all seem to make the game look like a grind-fest. All the potential exploration seems to come down to scavenging for resources and then constantly managing a tiny inventory. It's basically a survival game, and I've never found the time needed to sink into one of those.

So, I could be giving this a miss after all. It's a shame as I still love the concept, but not sure I could live with the grind that goes with it. I genuinely wish the developer all the best, and hope the game does very well, but this one just might not be for me.

I'll keep my eyes on it but for the moment I think I'll let it pass me by.

For sure! Again both victims to hype

Not even close - i have 1100h in Div and i loved it.
To many cheap trolls here who trying to look smarter than they are ;)
I like how you cant like game from videos, but they can see "all game flaws" and they can tell YOU that game is bad.I keep forgetting its 2016 and everybody and they grandma can be "critics". :D
Same with every game nowadays - those who like just playing, those who hate keep spamming F5 on forum :D

Just imagine the extra hate if it didnt have 21:9 support or whatever it is everyone expects now :D

They can expect what they want (star citizen HAHAHAHAHAHA),but if they imagined NMS to be sim or any other sort of game, they can blame themselves only and not game.
They should have made it 800*640 res only,so those unhappy trolls would go proper rage :D
Im using this thread to make my day go faster tbh - so much butthurt over nothing from those who not even going to play it.
Buying more popcorn :D
