No Man's Sky

Im not sure if im being completely stupid (more than likely) but I have got off the first planet, found 2 more planets, now I cant find any more planets to land on??? Im travelling through space, through loads of asteriods but found no planets, been travelling at hyper speed for about 20 mins?!
 
I've only jumped about 9-10 systems, so not encountered an already discovered one.
I think for most systems, I'll be content visiting each of the planets once. The next "nice" planet, I'm aiming to 100%.

Bought an el-cheapo ship for 310000, it had 3 extra slots over my junker start ship. Those slots are worth their weight in gold.

Have you got your hyper-drive, with fuel (warp core)?

You need to get jumpdrive first, press left on the D pad it should guide you on where you need to go. Once you have it you can select the map when your are in space and warp speed to the next system

Had a quick 90 mins or so and I love it so far. Named the planet after my wife of course! I like how it doesn't hand hold and you have to work it out for yourself. Still not fixed my ship but I'm almost there. Anyway yeah, cool game so far. My planet is crazy colourful and interesting.

I have Warp Cell but no Hyper Drive? How do I get that?
 
My first planet was poop brown :(

Only had a few minutes play this evening, I'm on an absolutely brutal extreme toxic rain planet at the moment, can only go outside for about 1 minute at a time, desperately dashing to pick things up to craft a toxic shield and melee boosting back to the ship. Could go buy the stuff in a station, but where's the fun in that? :)

If your really hardcore, sod the warp drive and keep going in one direction with hyperspeed , you should hopefully reach a system by the time your about 90.:D

All 3 planets I've been on have not rained at all, did not think it had weather effects in this?

Yep it has weather - though how dynamic that is is another matter...

Any one noticed if it has day/night etc?

I feel like Im asking stupid questions, but I havent got the game but fascinated about the details...

Sorry I should have expanded, what I meant to say is how realistic are those considering the size of the planet, the distance it is away from its star and the size of it.

While I fully expect some form of time dilation so that things go faster than they should Im assuming that dilation is a constant throughout the game - it could lead to some funny consequences.

Damn now Im thinking of binary systems - this game needs telemetry :p

I warped towards the system it was in, and then when the loading/warp screen finished I was next to the hole, the sky is all lit up and misty. And I guess the next step is to fly into the centre. I'm gonna mine a few of the plants first though, seems to be a lot of good stuff about.
 
This game is so much easier when your suit has over 20 slots and your ship has 30. I've managed to get up to 4 million units now and waiting for a hyooooge ship to buy

Still not warped yet and only on my third planet. Enjoying my system too muchto leave lol
