Sorry I should have expanded, what I meant to say is how realistic are those considering the size of the planet, the distance it is away from its star and the size of it.
While I fully expect some form of time dilation so that things go faster than they should Im assuming that dilation is a constant throughout the game - it could lead to some funny consequences.
Damn now Im thinking of binary systems - this game needs telemetry

The cycle times is fast if thats what you mean. I was on a huge planet and night time seems to fly by.
Any particular resource worth looking for to sell, most valuable I've found is gold so far.

Game should guide you through getting this? What are your tips telling you to do just now?
I've just spent the last hour or so fixing a bit of a mess I'd made.
Swapped over to a crashed ship I'd found, repaired the launch boosters and got out of there as the sentinels were aggressive.
Realised I didn't have resources to repair anything else on it, was too far from the non-hostile planet to fly there... Needed to fix things, so I could get to a space station to buy a dynamic resonator and fix the hyper drive.
Was a painful time, but very enjoyable.

Well I seem to have found a pretty game ending bug as my ship has disappeared 
I landed it an outpost on the landing platform and went off exploring and collecting. Followed the ship symbol back but came back to find an NPC ship on the landing pad instead. Radar shows my ship is there but it isn't So short of doing a whole heap ton of mining and selling I am stuck on this planet.

Use one of the consoles on landing pad to call your ship?

I looked it but saw I needed a bypass but I didn't have one so just ignored it. Pretty easy to make though so ship is back
thanks.Got it today and have had a blast tonight. Played about 3 hours and it flew by. My starting planet was awesome. Very lush and green, huge peaks and rammed with grazing wildlife.
I stupidly named the system "L" by mistake though. Once you name a system or planet, can you rename it? It seems to upload the min you press triangle and enter something. Anyway, it's now system L lol. And the planet is LV334
I eventually left the planet and found one near by which was much more barren and toxic. Grim place. Got my hyperdrive tech off an alien and made it to a space station for the part I need to craft it. Still need more resources though (Heridium?).
One tip I figured out.. crash into asteroids and you'll gain the resource needed for the pulse drive which is handy.
I stupidly named the system "L" by mistake though. Once you name a system or planet, can you rename it? It seems to upload the min you press triangle and enter something. Anyway, it's now system L lol. And the planet is LV334

Or you could just shoot the asteroids and save damaging your ship

Emeril is very very good, the planet I'm on has an absolute tonne of it everywhere. One stack will sell for about 200k, and the big blocks you get will easily give you two stacks once you've finished mining them.
It's why I've not warped yet, I'm planning on milking this planet dry, getting well over 10mill then buggering off in a pimping ship
Up to 26 slots on my exosuit now which is so handy, this planet is also full of drop pods so I'm getting lots of upgrades

Anyone been lucky enough to get an Atlas Pass V2 or 3 yet? Atlas Pass 1 has been really handy. It's basically free warp fuel.
Yep definitely. My current one has crazy toxic rain storms all the time. Makes a nice change after wandering around a few lush green planets. Plenty of variety here

Ugh this planet is ultra high security as well as extreme toxic....sentinels come after me if I so much as look at something. It says there'll be rare stuff around but exploring it is a mission! Really cool though
They are the best planets. Usually the ones filled with Graviton Balls.

Nope, no renaming allowed. I have 'c' planet in my starting system. Idiotic decision to only allow one rename and not to have an 'are you sure' prompt. I pushed R2 thinking it would delete the character and it just finalizes it
I found some from a trader in a space station. It took a little while, but I just checked with each of the traders as they landed.
I hadn't found the blueprint for it yet, but once I bought some and warped a bit, there was a marker to get the blueprint so I can craft it.

Anyone know of its possible to share ones location?
Much better time playing this last night.
Suit is now up to 21 slots and I have 1.25m units in the bank.
I decided to jump a bit around the planet (A001-002....
) and found huge Emirl deposits right next to a Galactic trading terminal (saving time jumping to and from the planet to a station).
Got tempted by a 23 slot ship for 1.2m units but decided to hold off for now. I want one of the 30 slot freighters so I can max unit income.
Warped for the first time before logging off and I entered a system with 4 planets, 2 moons and loads of large asteroids to strip mine.
Looking forward to getting back on it this evening to see what the planets and moons hold.
Only annoyances I have now are the FoV and game "features" like the annoying black bars whenever you discover something.. I don't care just let me get on with it!
