1440p is just a stop gap. no point spending money on a 1400p monitor,
the resolution is transient and will soon be obsolete. 4K is the "next" real resolution. (in my opinion).

Wrong. 4K (I believe) will be the "end resolution" for home use.
Purely because monitor sizes can't keep increasing (as room sizes are static).
You won't see the difference between 4k and 8k on a 30" monitor, or indeed a 50" TV.
So no way people would outlay for 8K or the tech to run it. because there are no perceived gains.

Weehamish is that you? :p

Don't kid yourselves on wishing for a £500 priced GTX 1080 card. It'll be £600+.

I think it'll be just over with all the non reference cards coming to the market at £599.99.

Holding out for the Windforce or EVGA ACX one myself.

Founders will be £600-£700, basic AIB version will be £550-£600. Then in a month or 2s time when the milk has run dry you will see basic AIBs going for £450-£500

at £600+ they wont even need to lower their prices on the rest of their range (except titan).
So we will be getting royally shafted as it will be setting the new standard on pricing for GPU's. A standard that is £150 more than last year....great.
