North korea places missile on pad

Why would potentially thousands of deaths make anyone happy? Ask the service personel who fought in the last Korean war if another would make them happy?

Yes that was clearly the intention behind me saying "please say yes" :|

The reason i would prefer them to be flattened was because IF there was a war i would prefer it to be over very fast and not cost more lives because of an evenly fought battle, doesn't really take a lot of brainpower to work out what i meant by that, did everyone else understand?

Or lets just not even have a war, the no deaths and no wasted money! doesnt take a lot of brain power for that either

don't know what plasma cannon is, i mean the Ion cannon from C&C :)

One of the most advanced defense weapons systems ever developed, the Plasma Cannon uses a large nuclear reactor fuel cell to power an electromagnetic accelerator that fires a pulse, or toroid, of plasma. During operation, the Plasma Cannon first locks on a target and begins the process of firing. A plasma sphere is created in the turrets core by super heating and compressing gases, stripping them of their ions. Once the gas is superheated, compressed, and a plasma sphere is created, it is then loaded into the electromagnetic accelerator which is energized. Once fully energized, the accelerator is activated, which results in the plasma sphere being launched at an extremely high rate of speed to the intended target. From the targets perspective, the approaching bluish ball of plasma is impressive, but once it strikes, it causes instant destruction.

But that decision would have absolutely nothing to do with us, so his point still stands. If NK declared war then I'd hope they'd be crushed quickly and ruined for the rest of time.

NK wont start a war though, they know theyd be decimated, a war will mostly be started by another nation if NK do launch this missile, no matter how hostile or not it may be.

Obv if the missle launched is hostile then im in agreeal as it would be MK who started a war

The reason Japan is edgy over the launch of this rocket is because it flying over Japan and the last one nk launch fell out of the sky 10 mins after launch.

If I was Japan I wouldn’t want them launching any thing over my country when there last rocket didn’t do to well.

Brain power that politicians are severly lacking, i have never said "yes lets have a war" or "yes i want them all to die" I have only said that if there is a way i hope its over swiftly, what on earth is wrong with that?

you people are really frustrating sometimes

How do you know the speed and trajectory of the missile if it isn't yet in the air?

Thats isn't what he meant.

It *is* far easier to deal with an ICBM in the launch phase, or soon after it for a number of reasons

1. It is complete, presenting a larger target.
2. It is relatively slow, low supersonic iirc
3. You probably are already looking in the right direction, since launch sites are often fixed.

Once its left the atmosphere and re-entered it is *much* harder

1. It is now just the re-entry vehicle which is much smaller.
2. It is hypersonic.
3. You don't know exactly when or where it is going to appear, unless you have tracked it all the way.

Further complication is that ICBM's typically have Multiple Independant Re-entry Vehicles which can and probably will be heading to more than one target, and can and probably will contain decoys and dummies.

So now you know ;)

also on launch you only have to get close enough to damage it/it's huge fuel tanks, where as afterwards you've got to hit the thing dead on. (like trying to shoot a bullet with a bullet)

Maybe thats isn't what he meant, but thats is what he said. Targeting at launch is all well and good, but if you are only targeting something that is being aimed at you, how do you know it is being aimed at you only when it is on the way up?

So now you know ;)

Understand my question and you'll deliver a better answer ;)
