Nostalrius Begins - Vanilla WoW

Just gave it a very short go, the nostalgia came rushing back.
Have made the very first character I made with the same look, might plug some time into this but all I keep thinking in the back of my head is "they could pull the plug on this at any second!"
 
I play Feenix wow, smaller but been around a long time with instant 60 or 12x leveling servers I can't do 1-60 at 1x any longer

Why I wouldn't put the time in playing on a private server...:(
 
Yea, but does that matter? Unless you're 100% commited and spend hours per night. Then give it a shot.
 
I guess it depends.

I think it would bother me.

I know my toons are relatively safe on the battle.net servers. Their achievements (I don't mean actual points based achievements) will always be there. Probably a 1000 hours or more. I'd be a little upset if they all got deleted with no warning even though I'll probably never play properly again.
 
I see what you mean.

I'll not be investing such time. It's simply for me to switch off and quest from time to time (again, anyone on the server with bags and moola, share the load).
 
Having a lot of fun with this, it really is interesting to play the game as it used to be.

What I've found most enjoyable is the social side though. With all the lfg and lfr stuff I found most people only bothered talking when crap hit the fan and it was time to assign blame. The social side of this is what really takes me back to what (for me anyway) old WoW was about.
People have to interact to do elite quest and form dungeon groups and so far I've encountered a bunch of cool, friendly and helpful players. Not sure how long I'll play for but I am loving this so far :D
 
If anyone ever asks me about wow this is how I explain it too them when it was like this :) meeting at crossroads and attacking the horde was so much fun.
