You should actually read what the Malaysian authority has said rather than reading tabloid papers. Apart from a few locals who might believe in all that nobody in an official position when it comes to charging them has said they caused an earthquake. As far as I can see the Malaysian authorities have charged them for public indecency, nothing to do with an earthquake. If they actually thought the earthquake was their fault and 18 people were killed, do you think they'd let them off with a 3 day sentence?

Foreign coverage of the story has been criticised in the Malaysian press.

Several local newspapers accused British tabloids of exaggerating reports that the tourists were arrested for causing the quake, rather than the actual charge of public indecency.

The Sabah-based Daily Express accused the papers of running "sensational" headlines, while the country's most popular English-language paper, The Star, said reports (pictured) alleging Hawkins and the others were arrested for angering mountain gods "couldn't be further from the truth".

Tourism minister, Masidi Manjun, said their acts would have merited punishment for breaking local laws and norms whether or not the earthquake took place.

Mr Masidi, who comes from the foothills of Mount Kinabalu, was also quoted in the Malay Mail as saying there had been some "fact-twisting" by foreign media.

"I don't know whether this is on purpose just to ridicule us, or their failure to appreciate our local traditions and customs," he said.

You go to a foreign country, you respect their laws and traditions, end of really. If you don't agree with them then don't bloody go there.

We're all one global community man. Society is anomie, we're plankton, no point suppressing our natural instincts, even the invertebrates have silly little social rules. Borders are meaningless and artificial constructs imposed by fake authority derived from the threat of physical force from the ruling castles, but who are they but other mere mortals to tell the rest how they must behave? Social reality is a little more dynamic than 'follow the rules' because it's obvious that you must!1, for one the rules are always evolving. Let's all pray to the thunder gods. Peace out V.

Would you like to mention that principle to all the foreign people who make a beeline for our country and gleefully **** all over our culture and traditions.

I mean if you're going to believe God sends down earthquakes at will, at least spend some time working out the actual cause and effect of events. But then again the concept of God is illogical in itself, therefore it's no surprise believers in God have difficulty applying logic to other situations.

Haha. :D

I always find those people funny and tbh more likely to look at them as they struggle away in the corner!

Point is though I don't find naked men in a changing room sexually attractive, much like I don't find my family sexually attractive, whether they be naked or not. If jokester does then... ;)
