Nurburgring - German Grand Prix 2009 - Race 9/17

I know - I never disagreed - all I was originally saying is that even without the puncture Hamilton would have probably been swallowed up by the pack in T2 due to not being on the racing line and not to speed...

ps3ud0

He wouldn't have dropped back further than maybe 5-6th anyway. Massa got a comfortable third from there, Hamilton could have easily been on the podium after being "swallowed up by the pack" so long as he evaded damge. Sadly he didn't :p

Roll on Hungary!

No doubt Hamilton got a fabulous start (blink and you missed it however) but I agree totally, no way would he have got into the same lower top ten pack as Massa / Button and Kovi upto T2

Either way it doesnt really matter ;)

Rubens Barrichello says he has now got over the fury he felt following the end of the German Grand Prix when he accused his own Brawn team of losing him the race.
...
He added: “I would not have won the race as the Red Bulls were half a second faster per lap but third was very possible without the pit problems.

The article goes on to say:
Although Barrichello has now acknowledged Brawn did not cost him the race victory, he has yet to publicly retract, or apologise for, his direct criticisms of the team's performance.
Barrichello must have graduated from the Mosley School of PR :D

Todd has FAR too much affection for Ferrari for that appointment to be anything other than biased imo, I cant believe its even being considered

I think Todt would be great if he stood. He has the background and experience to fully understand the sport and the other teams and do what is necessary to keep the sport technically advanced and exciting.

That would be the same Ferrari that he resigned from, huh? ;) You might as well say he has far too much affection for Peugeot, he was with them in motorsport for a long time after all.

Or that makes him the ideal candidate for FIA president ;)

:D

Could be worse guys. Mad Max could have been favouring Alan Donnelly, who is a grade A **** - second only to Max himself in that regard.

I'd prefer Ari as the FIA head, perhaps he can then sort out the mess that Max has made of the WRC which only has 2 official manufacturers in it now.

Bring back Group B :(

Ari gets my vote too. He seems a nice bloke. Awesome driver too!

Bringing back group B would be amazing. I never got to see them in the days they were allowed. Not old enough!
