Ahh the NUS,

They should go back to their core principles of organising and looking after the minibus which is required for heavy drinking situations throughout the nation.

Well there's the mystery of Jess Bradley, trans officer for the NUS, who was waving his dick around in public and, after some pressure, was finally suspended (on full pay) and mysteriously was able to pay for Carter Ruck (lawyers to the stars) to defend himself. It's been something of a mystery who's bankrolling that, but NUS have been one of the prime suspects. They've declined to comment (frequently).

The irony is rather amusing - they''re going to have to borrow 3 million against the building they own, they've underfunded their defined benefit pension scheme by 9 million and they're going to have to make staff cuts.

I have identified circa 20k worth of savings for the NUS.....

A woman who threatened to deface a memorial for fallen WWI soldiers earns £20,000 per year as a student union president, it has been revealed.

Emily Dawes, 21, provoked outrage after she said she would 'paint over' the 1916 mural at the University of Southampton and called for it to be taken down.

The painting was created in memory of British students who died at war.

Writing online she said: "Mark my words - we're taking down the mural of white men in the uni Senate room, even if I have to paint over it myself."

Ms Dawes, who describes herself as a feminist activist, took a year out of her studies at the University of Southampton to become Students' Union President, a role which typically pays £20,000 for those taking a sabbatical year
