Tbh as it is completely new design I hope it will be good product this new type of block...Congrats gents! Hopefully the FE block won't take too long.

competitor hinting isnt allowed, i'd edit your post before you get a ban
Anyone see the Optimus FTW block go up for sale in their store? I only saw the nickel in stock briefly and it was $378 if you want the backplate included.First Optimus GPU blocks...wow. What a quality
Haha I would still get it if they had for FEAnyone see the Optimus FTW block go up for sale in their store? I only saw the nickel in stock briefly and it was $378 if you want the backplate included.![]()
For me if they come out with a factory waterblocked card before a block for this card it's getting replaced.
Wonder how long we'll have to wait for Gigabyte to release a factory waterblocked card? If I remember correctly, @Jay85 had one last gen that looked really nice.
Yeah i had one on my old 2080 setup, ran really well and cooling was just like any other block tbh. Kept the gpu around 43-44c in a single loop setup on a moderate fan curve. RGB was abit naff on it but was good enough for any build really.Wonder how long we'll have to wait for Gigabyte to release a factory waterblocked card? Tbh i love it, no complaints at all and it runs literally every game i throw at it maxed out with no vram issues with anything. I think its going to be a long long time before this gpu will struggle maxing out a particular game.@Jay85 How are you getting on with your Palit 3090 watercooled buddy? Still thinking of getting rid for a 3080 or are you going to keep the 3090?
I am tempted by the 3090, a few games I play with extra mods take up loads of video memory and somehow buying a new GPU with less memory than my 1080Ti feels a bit 'wrong' but don't consider the 3090 very good value. Having said that, I'm fed up of waiting indefinitely and would like to at least join the queue rather than not!
Just wondering what board to go for. I'd want something to straightaway waterblock and given my setup, really need a PCB 300mm long or less. I appreciate something like the TUF series fits that bill, but that's likely to have the longest waiting list out of them, hence thinking of a design that uses the reference board such as the Palit.... I'm also sat here monitoring the Nvidia site in case a founders card pops up.
I know a lot of people will say wait for Navi, but sadly my monitor is GSYNC only, otherwise I would.

I think the fact that my 3080 is nowhere even close to being obtainable right now is making me think i should just keep this. What makes it even better is that its a great clocker as well, seems i've hit abit of a gem with this card and its hard to reason with myself to let it go lol.
If you want availability for blocks then the reference (not the modded ref cards like evga, asus etc) are the ones to go for as theirs plenty of blocks available right now. I'm still waiting for a Aquacomputer block to come into stock but i've been told by their sales rep that if i want the block i should order now and it should arrive before Christmas...
I got updated yesterday for my 3080 tuf card and im still 611 in the queue! So yeah won't be seeing it till at least next year i think or might just cancel it and stick with the 3090.
The block and card is a great combo but like others have said their are better blocks out there for a lot more money that will further cool the gpu which is why im looking for alternatives. Alphacool is a great block but i feel its a little cheaper for a reason as with the 3090's at least, backplate cooling is a thing and its something i really want to keep cool for longevity of the card.
