Nvidia 30X0 series waterblocks

Anyone with a Strix OC had a waterblock yet?

My order keeps getting pushed back, which is alright for the moment because I’m still 200 in the queue but I don’t fancy having a card and no waterblock because EK screwed up.

This is my setup ek everything (except rads they are black Ice) including the new Vardar fans although I do use a corsair commander Pro and have everything linked up via icue with some custom adaptors.

I'm still worried that corsair gpu block will look out of place stuff you EK for your stupid price insanity

Did you order direct from EK? If not that’s where I got my zotac block and backplate from, it took just over a week, everyone else is OOS

Up and running. It was worth the 3 and a half month wait!

I managed to work it out. I just need to get rid of my 8 year old phone and take a decent picture!

How are your temps with your system?

I have been benchmarking a bit and gaming for a few hours.

GPU hasn't gone over 45c at stock and 5950X has gone to 77c max after a heavy gaming session.

Currently just running stock everything and defaults in the bios without docp ram.

i have a 5950x and fe 3090 all under watercooling via 2*360mm ek pe classic rads in a lian ili pc 011 dynamic, my cpu is oc to 4.65ghz all core (manual 1.3v core voltage) and i am running 3733mhz oc on my ram with IF clock at 1866mhz, temp wise in games i never break 70 degrees on the cpu and my 3090 at stock sped is around 46 degrees under full load, when i apply +90 core and +925mhz ram offset temps rise to 51-54 degrees, nice bump in performance at 4k :)

here is my build :)

That's great. Thanks for the comparison.

I have a similar radiator setup to you. In the H700 case.

Sounds like I am fairly good temperature wise then. After a bit of tweaking hopefully get better results. Nothing bad anyway.

The GPU Temp is pretty great. It's currently idling at 22c which is frosty and it's 18c in this room.

I was worried, because I have water cooled before but never fitted a water block. So, happy the results are good!

I haven't had much chance to test yet but I noticed it's snappier in loading times in a couple of games. Looking forward to doing a full test and benchmark.

Underwater I went from 1980 at stock with power limit maxed to 2070. This was not touching the core clock.

+140 on air cooled peaked at 2130 and now at 2160. You are still limited to silicon quality though. Mine is average for a Strix 3090 and won’t go above that at least on the second graphics test on timespy. First test will now handle 2175 which was impossible before. I’m still using bad thermal pads and unoptimized paste for testing purposes, but I doubt it will go higher just cooler once properly optmized

Nice, not bad at all.

Has anyone ordered the Alphacool Eisblock FE block? Looks like it'll be the one to get as I am a bit tentative of corsair's quality.

My 3090 sits around 48c absolutely max temp, but i have a hefty overclock on it with the power limit all the way up which isn't huge but the back memory chips adds to the heat a lot. CPU temps are good though even for a 9900k at 5.0ghz it sits around 55c while gaming after a long session.

I’ve got mine. Just waiting on bits to turn up but should be building it Friday all being well.

Alphacool RTX 3080 Founders Edition waterblock delivered today! Will post a video on youtube about it soon
You're probably one of the first people to have that block as I haven't seen any pictures of it actually installed on a card.

was it difficult to install? Think I would be crapping myself taking a 3090 apart

easy to install , all the black zotac heat pads will be un-useable if you have to swap everything back though as it all disintergrates on removal , the ek back plate is a pita to install as you have to cut all the pad strips to size and put them directly on the back plate before fitting ( 3 different thickneses )

Yeah that was a royal pain for me too, worth it in the end though gone from 1880-1920mhz @70c to 2050 MHz @48c
