NVIDIA 4000 Series

35W seems very close. Does that mean the 4080 won't be as fast as we think or that the 4070 will be faster than expected?

Could be neither. AD104 vs AD103 looks to be quite different so a highly strung AD104 vs a more chill AD103 can give a large performance delta at similar power levels. Think 6700XT vs 6800 where both use a similar amount of power but at 4K the 6800 is 24% faster.

MSI unveils world first consumer ATX 3.0 power supplies, shows off how they maintain system stability even being able to keep system from crashing under a 2000w transient spike that lasts for 10ms

Nice. Hoping Seasonic launch a new Prime Ultra Titanium model with ATX 3.0 and PCI-Ev5 soon, be good to get that ready.

Since he's posted almost every possible config nvidia could use atleast one of them is bound to be right.

Exactly, him and MLID have claimed the RTX 4090 is 420w, 450w, 600w, 650w and 800w so yeah one of them could be right haha. They've also claims 21gbps and 24gbps memory, G6, G6X and G7 variants, 24gb and 48gb vram

Our last Nvidia leak video was so successful we thought we would do it again $$$$$$$
We at HUB Nvidia understand that you have some concerns about the power consumption, well good news, we have some propaganda for you that is sure to turn sensible concerns and understandings about PC components and power consumption on its head.

GPU's of 400 watts, 600 watts, even 800 watts is perfectly fine, actually gamers like that sort of thing, they think of them as beasts.
And you can't expect node shrinks and newer architectures to reduce power consumption, you're just being stupid.

This is the new normal. Buy a 4090.

All these tech youtubers getting too boring.

I notice they dont do interesting things like how to undervolt, I sent potential content ideas to both HUB and GN who didnt even reply. But they just push out review after review or rumour videos on new hardware so their channels are just dominated about new hardware news now.

They seem to have comfort zones they dont want to go out of.

A lot is to do with the way YouTube works. Poorly performing videos can hurt the channel. That's why many off them have secondary channels for things like livestreams. HUB have one for monitor reviews.

They moved monitor reviews away from main channel now then? Was probably the only reason I stayed subbed to it.

Hi guys - I'm thinking of buying a new graphics card soon, currently on a 980 which has done a job me for quite some years but it's starting to struggle with newer games. I tend to buy the "second best" nVidia graphics card out at the time - in other words, the best that isn't the Titan series.

Do you think it's worth buying a 3080 now or should I wait for the 4080? I understand it's going to be a pretty big leap but not sure if the prices generally skyrocket when a new GPU comes out or anything like that.

I'm in the same boat but with a 1070. I tend to game more in the winter so am hoping that something firm will happen soon in relation to release dates. I'm into VR so know that whatever happens (3080 or 4000 series) I'll see a major and instant improvement in performance- just where to go and when I guess.

I went from a 1070, and a 3080 was a huge improvement, but I would agree and say try to wait - A 4000 series for similar money (This may be the 4070) is probably the way to go. If you get there and find they are unavailable, you'll probably be able to pick up a second hand 3080 for less.

Can’t wait for these to come out. I upgraded my case to a haf 700 evo so I have lots of space. Just need the new PSU probably an Asus Loki next month and I’m all set. I’m just not looking forward to refreshing my screen a thousand times on release day to try and get one in a few seconds before they all sell out though.

Will the site (or others for that matter) handle the traffic at launch this time or will they all go down again?

The best answer I could expect on this is something like "We have upgraded our servers to handle X% more traffic."
