NVIDIA 4000 Series

"See, nobody cares about VRAM in gaming. Look at how badly our own product flopped as proof." - Nvidia probably. Ignoring that barely anyone is interested in the regular 4060 ti to begin with.

It's not like they don't know. They just do what they think they can get away with. Can't see the 5070 having less than 16GB for example.
 

Buy two, SLI them and then you have more vram than a 4090!

I'm sure it won't. I am not certain what they will do with the 5000 series, but I would be amazed if the 5080 is less than £1000. I don't think we will ever see another 80 belowe £1000.

If they want anything to sell in the future they will have to sell it below 1k.

Investors will just go elsewhere otherwise.
 
Doubt it. But you never know I suppose.

This is what I would have thought (especially since actual performance is supposedly a big part of Nvidia's value whereas with apple the vague perception of OK performance appears to be enough) but the 4060 ti 16GB with its outlandish markup feels like it's leaning in that direction.
