NVIDIA 4000 Series

And on that note, will there be an RTX4090Ti ? Just considering my options as I intend to purchase a high end RTX40** series card in next few months.

In the convenient price gulf between them!

Here's hoping the terrible 4080 sales facilitate a 4080Ti at $1200 and drop in 4080 pricing.

With a new card going into the linup, Nvidia may be able to play the hero rather than be embarrassed by dropping the 4080's price in a vacuum.

Wait, 8gb is on the back of the 4060 ti 16gb? Cooled by what? Magic? Was mentioned on another forum, stupid if true.

If the card has a decent backplate then it will act as a heatsink and there should be no issues. Lots of cards have had memory modules on the back of the PCB and passively cooled by the backplate with no issues , the 6800 and 6900 cards from AMD are an example of this. If it is not done correctly then there can be issues and some 3090 had overheating memeory modules on the back.

Fair enough.

The 4080 will be lowered to the absolute bargain price of only £950!!!! ;-)

Anyone running a 4090 FE under 100% power limit and getting stable use without sacrificing much performance?

Wanting to reduce noise and temps a bit on my FE, is there a generally accepted <100% power limit setting that runs 4090 cooler and quieter but doesn't crash or squash performance?

Cheers

Run it at 80% and you'll lose like 3/4% of perf.

They won't be a kid anymore by the time they've saved enough pocket money to buy it.
