If you guys bought Nvidia shares you'd have made enough profit to buy several RTX5090's
The share price broke $700 today. The share price already more than doubled in 2023 and now its already up almost 50% in 2024.
As an example, if someone invested $2000 into Nvidia shares 365 days ago, they would have $6150 today
Return it before the buyers remorse really kicks in.Even with a great monitor and a very decent 4080 Super OC GPU, I don't know what to play now
Ratchet and Clank - Awesome game completed it yesterday on ultra RT. Amazing with the new card!
Alan Wake - Can't seem to get back into it now
The Witcher 3 - Completed it years ago, but can't get back into it even with RT and running high frames rates
Cyberpunk - Completed it, just not interested in the DLC, burnt out on Cyberpunk
Ass Creed Valhalla - HDR not working right, turned off HDR, whites and darks are crushed in torch lit areas on the OLED, so can't play it
Any suggestions for this GPU?

One of my all time favourite GPU's was, literally this limited edition beuty. Sales pictures i took of it before i put it on the MM, i have cleared my Image host countless times since then, everytime when i get to these pictures i stop... no, i can't. They stay...
Yes.
Lol, how exactly am I "cherry picking", it's the straight xx80 product progression through four generations.
I ignored the 4080 because we're specifically talking about the 4080S here, which most people agree is what the 4080 should have been all along.
As for the 3080, the unrealistic MSRP is my whole point as it skews everything else. Of course the 4080 looks crap value by comparison.
Also the "lots of people got it" is nonsense. I'd love to see some figures on the average price paid for a 3080 but I guarantee it was nowhere near the MSRP of $699/£649.
It's cherry picked because it all started to go wrong around the GTX 680. Anything after that mentioned seems like a normal increase , but anything before that seems like a rubbish upgrade and silly price increases on gpus after the gtx 580, gtx 680 time was when it all went seriously wrong and then the titan games too.
As someone here mentioned you maybe a young person that got into gpus at a later time so all seems normal to you but to us that have been around since the beginning of graphics cards and later called gpus are seeing serious price increases for little gains compared to what we use to get before, as said it was normal to get a 100% increase or more from generation to generation and a 50% increase only would end up being a generation fail in the past. BUT now people (new people into the hobby) think 15%-30% increase is normal and thankful for it and then the creeping prices too for less than what we use to get in the past. It is all depending on when you got into pc gaming and technology to what you class as the normal or acceptable increases in performance and price.
Us old folk feel we are being ripped off as we see things have got a lot worse from what we use to get and that will not change until us older folk are out of the market and the new generation of people take over buying and seeing it as the normal and not questioning it.
A little bit of history here for you :-
As you will see it all depends when you got into pc hardware and graphics/gpu cards. So really you are right and wrong at the same time and you will now understand why some of us are not happy with what has happened and still happening and getting worse for customers.
You're in the sweet spot imo. Buy midrange, sell on and buy midrange again and maintain a steady level of performance whilst costing relatively little. But the objective reality is the 7800XT is actually pretty bad, which shows how far we have fallen.
And i've just bought one, begrudgingly, because for £480 or so what else is there? This absolute pile of junk?

@Nexus18 when running games with the RTX HDR do you leave HDR off in the Windows display settings?
Intel recently boasted about 13 TOPS of AI performance integrated its upcoming new CPU's, ready for windows 12 and all that, big shout out about it, Intel is Win 12 ready with this big integrated AI performance....
AMD what are you doing? Hum, what??? Your next in chip AI? Oh..... not sure yet, we are still testing silicon, 48 to 60 TOPS, something like that, ya.....
Humph..... i think its time, Star Citizen is getting a MASSIVE patch, lots of changes and my GPU has suffered long enough...
For valhalla, try nvidias RTX true hdr mod. Based on reports and my own experience so far, it works incredibly well, way better than windows auto hdr which has raised blacks and the incorrect gamma, only con with this is there is a bit of a performance hit but it's not too bad and you can adjust this to your liking:
NvTrueHDR - RTX HDR for games
Nvidia's AI-powered HDR converter, now for games too. (alternative for Windows AutoHDR)www.nexusmods.com
Given how shocking games hdr implementation is, this has become probably my second favourite rtx feature now to the point it's a must have, sadly as usual, we have game devs to thank for the hdr situation.
Nice one dude, thanks!
Another video I wanted to add but the forums don't allow more videos than what was added to my original post. It's cherry picked because it all started to go wrong around the GTX 680.
