speaking of power requirements i wonder if the 4090 and even 4080 will require pcie 4 or even 5 due to power draw. im talking through the pcie slot itself.
It's 75w max for all pcie specs from the motherboard slot

Your not meant to run at the limit all the time no. However each unit has a sweet spot of efficiency, if you check the manual or the graph on the side. Better quality ones will have less losses so if you plan to run the machine 24/7 better over the long term.
for some reason id thought they had upped the specs for pcie 5, guess i was wrong :OIt's 75w max for all pcie specs from the motherboard slot
I’ll skip the waffle then read the tech sites (and here) afterwards.whos watching the nvidia presentation on tuesday 8am wot time is that uk ..
Really is astounding to see some of this tech, the tiger in that jungle!
Do you please have a source I can read for this statement that running a PSU at higher percentages is harmful?
Don't listen to that, it's anecdotal - it's like saying running a CPU at 90c is harmful. Like a CPU is designed to even run at 95c, a 850w PSU can run at 850w and even a bit higher than that and will do so for many years no problem.
Running a PSU at 60% is where it's most efficient - meaning that the percentage of power it takes from the wall and can convert to output for your PC components is at its highest and going above 60% load, that's efficiency drops but this doesn't hurt or damage the PSU, it can and will run at 100% load no problem
I meant mainly for efficiency and quietness as with my current PSU, its fan is barely on and runs coolTruth. Decent models are rated and tested at (simulated) 100% for years.
Lenovo GeForce RTX 4090 Graphics Card For Legion Pre-Built PCs Pictured Some More, Huge Triple-Slot Cooler
More alleged pictures of Lenovo's GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards for their Legion Pre-built gaming PC have been leaked.wccftech.com
Leaked picture of Lenovo RTX 4090 Legion graphic cards with triple slot & triple fans measured 14 inch or 335.6mm length used for pre-build Lenovo Legion PCs
I can recommend those adjustable gpu holder stands for normal sized cards, let alone anything like those 4090s. Card sag should be a criminal offence given how bad it looks.
