NVIDIA 4000 Series

Monopoly the board game never goes stale and you can play 28 property pick up when you lose with rage too!

But the graphics are terrible!

Gamepass does streaming, just use a Xbox controller and be Playing games with no hardware purchase of you already have a phone, tablet, laptop, pc or Samsung tv

I need to get a decently specced PC anyway, now that I'm perma-WFH. I just wasn't expecting there to be such poor VFM in all tiers of the GPU market. That's probably a good indicator of how long I've been away!

take away the motion smoothing fake frames and you can probably divide the fps by 2 or more... DLSS seems to have turned into a scam to fake boost fps

Except that when you look at DF's video comparing this exact scenario, the DLSS3 footage still looks smoother - i.e DLSS3 at 120fps looks smoother than native 60fps

Oh nvidia you sus :D
there's a lot of supposition on his part without any actual info, like if nvidia are waiting for extra frames and then back-interpolating the extra frame, that would be completely retarded from a performance/latency point of view

they could have done that on any previous gen of card and they still would have been called out on total BS

Is there no way for them to increase the number of RT cores per SM? seems like RT is really held back by how few RT cores they have.
RT is an extremely complex way of doing things, its like one of those NP hard combinatorial problems where you have to got to look at everything before knowing the actual solution.. infact i dont beleive RT complexity will ever scale well with hardware because of cost/tech restrictions.. so you'd need some ingenious new way of abstracting that complexity while delivering an image at acceptable quality loss.. as the leather jacket man said, you'd need new algorithms/methods to deliver realtime RT so i dont think adding more RT cores could solve the problem

Anyone think AMD will take this opportunity or will they price only similarly or slightly below? Either way, my 3060Ti is easily enough for me at the moment. Still hoping AMD do something big here though.

I don't know what's worse. The utterly dreadful pricing or the fact I'm not surprised.

Time to dust off the Xbox methinks.

AMD won't have the capacity to supply enough cards to fulfil demand anyway, so they won't go much cheaper

Next time, Nvidia should announce their lower end cards first. Then people would be like OMG! 3090Ti performance at 3080 prices!? This is amazeballs!

It isn't 40x0 that has put up prices, it happened with the pricing of stuff like the 3090 Ti. If people are buying at those prices, why wouldn't they build cards to that price point?
