I can't wait to see leaks for RDNA3 over the next couple of weeks... I am guessing 70-80% of the performance of a 4090 for 50-ish% of the price and at no bigger than a 3090. However, if they have really managed to improve performance further to be competitive with the 4090 in their highest-end part then I will be pleasantly shocked!

Its made on the same processing node right? So it shouldn't be far off surely...

not quite the AMD core is on a 5nm node but not the craftly named 4N node designed to fool people, the other chiplets are on 7nm I think

but the argument is they don't all need to be on a single more expensive monolithic die... smart I hope it works and AMD use that to price effectively. Two questions I don't know the answer to tbh

I think these are old quad series, 4 are faulty, the rest work, was wet, so cleaned and dried.

Found it in a box behind some rubbish on a industrial park, can i do anything with these or put on MM for 50 quid each.

Imagine if they were 4090s:eek:

Wait wut? You literally found those? Jesus.

You can probably sell those for a grand each. They perform like a 3070Ti in games, but have the same sort of chip as a 3080 and 24GB of RAM. If you really did find an abandoned box of A5000s then ... ****ing jackpot mate.

Looks like I’m going to have to RMA my Zotac Airo.
When the fans spin up there is a god awful noise, which sounds like one of the fans has a faulty bearing. I’ve kinda ignored it until now, but there’s no way I can live with it.
Do I contact OCUK or Zotac to start the process?

**** poor power design for the money and because of that it's got the worst transient spikes even though it doesn't have a high TDP and Palit reccomends a 1200w PSU because the transients are so bad on the card

Yes they are having a laugh this gen. Worst components than 3090s before and less VRM  , why the hell would you do that and damage your reputation that way with the GameRocks that people loved because of the high quality board and components. I bought 5 of them last time and my brother got one too, kept 3 for myself (2 in sli for work rig and one in the HTPC) and one in nieces pc (she wanted my old HTPC so her dad bought it for her) and other I sold to a friend for his son, so they now have lost 4 sales if they all want to update other 2 in work rig stay because no NVLINK on 4090s.

3090 GameRock PCB. Full 22 VRM the max the board could take for 3090s and high quality components.

4090 GameRock PCB. 19 VRM 16 GPU 3 VRAM and still 9 VRM places empty .. With worst quality components.

To add to their pain karma struck them back with fans that are faulty on these 4090s so they all need recalling and fixing.

So new 1000w PSU has arrived but sadly the board is still dead. looks like the MB has **** itself. Have a new one arriving later today, hopefully it didn't take the 10900k with it :(

Lets hope not the cpu that has died too. Don't risk the 850w psu on the new setup, it still may have taken out your system before.

They are probably dead or faulty that's why they binned them, they are recent cards the A5000. So if you want to make sure they have some life in them use a motherboard and cpu and ram and psu you are not worried to fry, because may turn into an expensive mistake sticking them into a good system.

yep not gonna risk putting it in my PC until i know all is dry, but check this out, it was accidentally placed out last night, and it was raining, anyway a certain company is making it known that a box was chucked out by an unsuspecting staff member, they really want it back, they know the binman didnt take the trash so they suspect was taken by a bin raiding neighbour, many ppl smoke next to the back bins so they know. Im gonna hand them back, but i would like to keep one, but really it is finders keepers.

@hobib_ali

I would hand them back as they can still call it theft sadly, there is no finders keepers. You legally should have taken it to a police station as lost and found and then if not claimed after a certain time then it will be classed as your property and they call you to pick them up. Most people don't realise this when finding stuff.

Maybe they will give you a reward and you also don't know if they have CCTV and saw you pick them up. Also you can't sell them on MM now it is known they are looking for them as they are now classed as stolen goods too. So don't try sell them, they all have serial numbers that can be traced and companies keep inventory logs and Asset tags.
