amazed how many 4090 FE there are on eBay now just sitting there. Such a shame as these could be in the hands of genuine customers and gamers. Scalping is such a nasty, greedy, scummy practice.

Still given how many are on there, I doubt there is much money to be made, what with eBay fees being extortionate as well as the risk of being scammed.

I don't really get what your argument is? That because I find it annoying I should play good samaritan? We are human, if we find ourself in a situation with an option we didn't originally anticipate wanting to do we take that opportunity. Theres a difference between someone buying and then in light of new information exploring options, and intentionally scalping for profit.

As ever you are entitled to your view. I'm not bothered about a quick sell. I was just exploring options, because of £1 fee. I may yet keep, or return. Just trying to see if in light of the AMD announcement it still presents to me the same value for my use case. Hence why I have not yet cancelled my preorder of the waterblock.

Then stuck it up on ebay to scalp and as you couldn't sell it for more (as you state in posts above you asked more for it than now and had to reduce the price) than what you want now, you came to state it here it's for sale at £200 more than MSRP and what you paid for it and where it is being sold too and the price... basically making it easy to find too...

My point is that you are trying to sell for profit (sorry, you've had an opportunity to sell for profit just SOMEHOW fall into your lap...) on this forum, where selling for profit (for whatever reason) isn't permitted.

The problem is, you dont know what tomorrow's day brings...so saying i dont care is not nice at all, you might need in future (hope not) an opinion or suggestion about something, and probably you will not be taken serious....
many people come here to read/ask opinion (including myself) about what or why choose this or that GPU, problems or solutions
thats what makes this forum really usefull, and some users opinions are taken in count...

I really don't think he was intentionally trying to rip anyone off, it’s easy to be cynical with so many FE’s on eBay and the frustration that creates (I am someone looking to get an FE but has been unsuccessful so far and have been tempted to buy over odds - but have decided to wait and try and get one from nVidia). I hate scalpers as much as they next person but also I think if I had one for sale I too would be tempted to make a bit of money on top as that is what the market is dictating at the moment.

Strange, listed my 4090 FE on ebay for below everyone else on there to see if I could get a sale before return window as I have a £1 selling fee offer, but other sellers cards are still actively selling above what I've listed for

^.... this was his first post on the topic and from there on you can read. He doesn't understand he's a scalper and clearly purchased it to scalp and if not will be sent back in the return period, he had no intention of keeping it even from his first post he states that and then moves on later to make excuses that he purchased a water block and cablemod cables for it...

Seriously... It's right there what he had planned for it. To scalp it and then used these forums to highlight to people here he's selling it on ebay and gumtree for less than other sellers there now but still scalped, because his original scalped price was laughed at and now he's running out of time to scalp it a week he says before returning it for a refund.

No one should be defending this behaviour, I'm disgusted by it and by someone in our community again. The funny thing I and others on the FE drops would let people know here and now sorry I won't be doing that as all I'm clearly doing is tipping off scalpers to buy them now.
