NVIDIA 4000 Series

We have nearly 1000 cards and they are selling crazy fast. :)
Sign of the times to come, the days of cheap gpu's are well and truly over. I do wonder how recession will affect this in the long run though. Hopefully we'll see more sensible prices in the future not this nonsense that everyone seems to be lavishing up, quite sad in all honesty.

When did you place the order? I ordered on 14th Nov when there was only 1 item left in stock and it's still showing "processing" in the orders.

Estimated delivery 22nd Nov which I very much doubt will be achieved. EK haven't answered my support ticket either, so that's helpful :o
order placed 11/11/22 so a few days earlier than yours , i also sent them a ticket because as soon as i ordered which said pre order at the time the main page then switched to in stock with delivery for the 18th , previously said released 18th delivery 25th so like yourself sent them a ticket asking whats going on .. am still awaiting a reply but the block is sitting at my local depot for delivery tomorrow :D I imagine yours will be along shortly as can't see the demand for the abp being as high as the stock one :)

Its not a sign of times to come, they will always find enough buffoons to buy these on launch day but how about 3-4 months from now.

Well the fact that with the 3080 and 6800 XT launch the web site crashed and everywhere was sold out in minutes. I would go with more than enough to meet demand but demand wasn't as high as previous launches.

2 years ago on 3080 launch day I sat on my PC eagerly awaiting 2pm, the site crashed but I managed to get my order in and paid £650 roll on 2 years and looking at the 4080s sat in stock is a very sorry site for the GPU industry and gamers in general who have been treated like **** since the mining boom.
And let themselves do so by continuing to lap up the nVidia BS

Have to see but im not hopeful tbh. People lack self control and its that plus the desire to show off and parade that you "copped one" that drives this BS pricing up.

I have noticed an interesting tactic used by scalpers where they pull an item that was for sale so that it shows "out of stock" or whatever you-missed-out message a given site shows....only for the same card to go back on sale, from the same seller, shortly thereafter.

They also raise and lower prices to create the illusion of activity.

It's like dragging a lure through the water to convince fish to bite.

When I first heard about Nvidia's efforts to manipulate stock levels, I thought it was silly to put in effort so that they could sell less product, but it makes sense in the context of consumer psychology.

I think milking the FOMO market first has been standard procedure. It just looks like they are trying to up their psychology game this time.

Pretty sure retailers are doing the same thing.

Thanks. I'm only concerned that the orders page still shows that it's in processing but hopefully it dispatches before that updates (unlikely, but one can hope!). I basically asked in my ticket that if the block is out of stock then I'd be happy to have one of the non-ABP blocks but they've not answered :(

I've been lucky and never had a card with coil while, but that's RMA territory tbh.
