NVIDIA 4000 Series

I cant pretend Im not getting a certain level of satisfaction that the majority of these are still in stock.

Anyone thinking of buying a 4080, would surely just go for the 4090, the people who brought the 4080 suprim for 1560 or whatever it was....i mean jesus - there are poor decisions and then that.

They had sold out of 3080s in less than 2 minutes and had thousands on back order by this time now, given they still have stock hours later after the 4080 launch doesn't bode well for nvidia in the longer term.

I dont necessarily agree with all the 4080 Hate. Price yes its not great, but people saying you might as well buy a 4090 is not really sensible when you can save say £350+ which isnt to be sniffed at.

I look at it this way, I bought my 3090 from here for £1770 I game at 4K my monitor is only 60hz however. My FPS on my monitor are always maxed out as the 3090 is powerful, and I am not buying a new monitor anytime soon. So whilst having a 3090 is amazing, I am mainly a flight simmer, have been for about 20 + Years. The 3090 really helped out with X-Plane, but now MSFS has the more serious stuff and XP12 is optimised better I am looking at my budget which would cover a 4090 comfortably, but I am thinking the 4080 is still better than 3090Ti and I will get DLSS3 Frame gen in MSFS which will give me amazing FPS (I am aware of the downsides) but my 3090 is now limited and a 4090 is going to give 30 FPS more than a 4080 but so what I wont see them anyway so that £300-400 + saved on the 4090 which will give me say 20-30FPS more above the 120+ the 4080 will give me is wasted on me IMHO.

SO my point is the 4080 for me is an attractive proposition (despite the price) and will do me well with my 5800X3D which means I should be good for a while yet, and I can probably upgrade my PC next year and I have already cut out the biggest cost, but I have the benefits I want now and I can pop that £300-£400 back into my PC next year.

A fool and his money...

I thought the 4080 was being priced at around 1100 pounds.

The prices are well over that. I wouldn't pay anywhere near 1100 let alone the prices over that.

When are the reasonably priced cards coming out lol.
