NVIDIA 4000 Series

You’ve just answered your own stupidity. “The PSU side”. Clearly people care which is why so many have ordered them, some people want to have a single cable going from the PSU to the GPU. If you don’t like that then don’t buy it. What others choose to spend their money on shouldn’t affect you.

Take a deep breath and try to not let it get to you so much. Life’s too short to be worrying about such things.

You think people are buying atx 3 power supplies replacing their atx 2 to have a single cable? Lol, right, stupidity indeed.

Most of the demand in the 3000 series was from miners because both nvidia and AMD reported the supply was at record highs but the demand was just too much. The stock is there because nothing will fill the demand void left by mining.

...a bit of it is mining...Nvidia don't quantify how much in their financial statements...but most of it is the change in the macro outlook. Similar inventory builds have been seen in CPU, laptops, storage etc. It happened in late Q2 (June-ish)...go and have a read of Intel's Q2, AMD's Q2/Q3 etc.

At some point Jensen is going to read this, see me fighting his corner and send me a signed leather jacket and a priority purchase email for a 4090 FE!

I don't think you could fit another 4090 in that tiny case of yours ;) :p

got a single FE winner on the 4080 owners thread. Nice.
...that's pretty amazing. I wonder if NVDA are shipping 4080 FE SKUs in low volume to help clear the channel of AIB partner SKUs at prices that permit economically viable margins. Pure conjecture on my part, but it feels like the FE designs are so good this time around that AIBs can't differentiate their products. It'd explain why EVGA exited a product line that accounted for 90%+ of their profit. From a shareholder standpoint there is not much of an incentive to vertically integrate the manufacturing of the boards because it's commoditised/low margin business relative to design and it probably requires all sorts of logistics and working capital that NVDA would rather keep off their balance sheet. It'd increase revenue but reduce margins and returns to bring it in-house...and having an ecosystem full of AIB partners is probably a positive for supply chain resilience. I'm going to see if I can get a meeting with Nvidia's investor relations guys at some point and see what they say!

Just ordered a 4080 FE without trouble. Now time to get my 3080 FE on the bay - sadly I'm not MM eligible yet.
3080 FE are still fetching very good money! was looking earlier and they are selling for £600+ still. The upgrade will cost you £670 once all said and done , enjoy the card :D

Just noticed i now have over 1000 post , where is the MM ? :D
