NVIDIA 4000 Series

Finally found some time to install my 4090 FE.

My first spin was an video encode, Wow, cut down my encode time by 30% or so.
Not had a chance to test in any games & I'm not one for synthetic benchmarks.

Happy with the card.
Fan noise, although not loud bugs me, can't wait until blocks come into stock.

I remember reading in this thread someone mentioned using Corsair iCUE to control the RGB. I can't seem to get it to work.
Any suggestions?

iCUE can control the RGB on my 3080FE. It just recognised it. Perhaps try updating to the latest version if you haven’t already done so. Unless Corsair still need to update to include 4xxx series support?

For anyone awaiting a waterblock for the Zotac from EK they have just got back to me and said they are being announced tonight so will no doubt go up for pre-order/ sale later today :D

That's interesting you say that about the fan. I definitely noticed the FE fan noise on the 3090 for example when it ramped up a good bit. I've certainly found some joy in having a Suprim X as the card, even on 'Gaming' mode, is super quiet. Can't hear it over any of my case fans which only ramp up slightly while gaming.

Been reading online that 4080 stock in the USA has pretty much all gone.
Seems to vary by store and region - people have been reporting that online stock has sold but if you go into the stores there's piles of cards to be had. Bestbuy seems to doing well but places like MicroCenter have plenty of 4080's.

I haven't checked today, but I was able to add a 4080 to my cart the evening of the launch, so I don't think the stock moved all that quickly.(didn't buy it)

One of the youtubers said he talked to his local big box store and was told they were given less stock of the 4080 vs 4090 launch and the had like 50 cards still sitting on the shelf on day two.

I don't think the 4080 is anywhere near as popular as the 4090.

Not sure, clearing cache should have sorted for you really.
strangely it didnt sorted the issue. I cleared cookies then accepted new ones when open the webpage and when i clicked for shopping options it went straight to access denied. Not big deal im using Edge when Chrome makes issues

Most of the demand in the 3000 series was from miners because both nvidia and AMD reported the supply was at record highs but the demand was just too much. The stock is there because nothing will fill the demand void left by mining.
