NVIDIA 4000 Series

It still wouldn't make me part with that much money.

800 quid or GTFO, it's that simple.
800 would be my absolute limit but even then I wouldn't feel like I was getting much of a deal considering the much smaller die used this time compared to getting the top silicon last time for £150 cheaper.

probably more to do with christmas than anything else
Christmas is the biggest shopping time of the year. If they can't sell these cards in the 2 weeks before Christmas and the week after when people have their Christmas gift money, they never will sell them ever. Also £1100 is still too much

well yeah, i assume gibbo meant they were actually selling but not enough to sell out so they did move but still in stock :D

Yeah £749 - £799 is the sweet spot for this card imo and Nvidia would then struggle to keep up with demand

4070ti is $799 MSRP, launches 5 January

Boy, 4060's sure are expensive these days.

Given Nvidia is likely having that 4070ti at 800 bringing 4080 down to 1100 would make more sense or even 1k... they will never bring it down to 750-900 as it would cannabolise/interfere with the other cards that will crowd that space.
it would make more sense for there to be a bigger gap between 4080 and 4090 and bring it close to 1k.. AMD and Nvidia both doing it though...

This is what happens when you are beholden to 2 companies to supply /enable the entire ability for your hobby to exist .... public company maximizing profit ... nothing new it just sucks ... but if people are buying them overall I am sure they don't care about 1 specific SKU being slow if they are selling loads of 4090s/4070/ti's etc.

I don't know how many more threads can be started/replied to with people just repeatedly whining and making the exact same arguments about cards and ridiculing others... Buy it/don't buy imo....

What's the logic behind saying the 4070ti is really a rebadged 4060?

I go by performance if the 4070ti really is close to the 3090ti as shown by nvidia's own charts at 4K without DLSS 3 I would say thats pretty impressive they only showed few charts and could have been cherry picked and not show the full picture still yet to see how it compares at 1440p which it should be for , its just the pricing for 70ti card that is high imo

I may be wrong but when was the last time 60 tier card pretty much matched last gens flagship ?
