Yeah, and it can stay there until we get some realistic prices. And if they don't materialise, I'll just keep this card.4080 still there for sale not shifting. 21 days now!

It still wouldn't make me part with that much money. When we dropped the 4080 to £1099 it sold really well over Christmas, be good if NVIDIA can get the cards down to $1099 officially would assist sales a lot.
probably more to do with christmas than anything elseWhen we dropped the 4080 to £1099 it sold really well over Christmas, be good if NVIDIA can get the cards down to $1099 officially would assist sales a lot.
In dollar terms it though it was just $100 the pound gap was due to currency fluctuations.3090 and 4090 launch prices were £300 difference, not £100, but even so…
800 would be my absolute limit but even then I wouldn't feel like I was getting much of a deal considering the much smaller die used this time compared to getting the top silicon last time for £150 cheaper. It still wouldn't make me part with that much money.
800 quid or GTFO, it's that simple.
Christmas is the biggest shopping time of the year. If they can't sell these cards in the 2 weeks before Christmas and the week after when people have their Christmas gift money, they never will sell them ever. Also £1100 is still too muchprobably more to do with christmas than anything else
well yeah, i assume gibbo meant they were actually selling but not enough to sell out so they did move but still in stockChristmas is the biggest shopping time of the year. Yeah £749 - £799 is the sweet spot for this card imo and Nvidia would then struggle to keep up with demand800 would be my absolute limit but even then I wouldn't feel like I was getting much of a deal considering the much smaller die used this time compared to getting the top silicon last time for £150 cheaper.

What's the logic behind saying the 4070ti is really a rebadged 4060?Boy, 4060's sure are expensive these days.

I go by performance if the 4070ti really is close to the 3090ti as shown by nvidia's own charts at 4K without DLSS 3 I would say thats pretty impressive
Performance isn't the issue.
..the near 60% price increase on a 70 class card, is.
