4090 drop!
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. you guys talking about the FE ?
$799 is only to make it look better in reviews compared to the 7900XT, real pricing will be the same as the unlaunched 4080 12gb.$799 (overpriced as it is) MSRP for the 4070ti will be an absolute unicorn.
Don't forget that nVidia probably really annoyed AIB's by making the u-turn decision on repositioning the 4080 12GB as a 4070ti. Those AIB's probably had PCB, cooler's, boxes and marketing all either designed or well into the development stages.
Nvidia probably agreed not to make and sell a FE 4070ti so AIB could gouge away to their hearts content to smooth things over.
I do wonder if/when NVIDIA will drop the price of the 4090FE. I'm also in the market for a new UW and am waiting to see what comes out of CES before jumping on the 4090 bandwagon and hoping to maximise what I get for my money.
You are more than likely spot on here, I'm trying to resist and every drop it is getting harder to do that as my poor Gigabyte 2080 Super is starting to look long in the tooth.I don’t see it happening. It has no competition and if anything the FE looks ‘good value’ against a lot of other cards.
It’s still going to be the fastest card of this generation (until/if there is a Ti or Titan).
They probably regret not making it MORE expensive tbh!
In two years when the 5090 comes out.I do wonder if/when NVIDIA will drop the price of the 4090FE. I'm also in the market for a new UW and am waiting to see what comes out of CES before jumping on the 4090 bandwagon and hoping to maximise what I get for my money.
This! 4090FE could easily have been a few hundred dollars more and sold out. The pricing of the 4090FE is probably hurting sales of the 4080FE...I don’t see it happening. It has no competition and if anything the FE looks ‘good value’ against a lot of other cards.
