NVIDIA 5000 SERIES

It's in early development still and it's expected gameplay trailers to be shown running up to 2026, it's also the first CDPR game using UE5 and they're actively developing the Nvidia branch of UE5 and submitting their upgrades to the branch with Nvidia helping out All that takes time no doubt

So they released that trailer to begin the hype 3+ years before release. Lol.

It's just a pre-rendered cinematic setting the scene for the new main character. There's a reason why no in-game footage featured.

The money I'll save if I don't buy a 5090 can go towards the imminent Switch 2 and an OLED 4k monitor (I've been holding off as I would need to use for work as well, I really like the Dell AW3225QF)

Can anyone remember how long it took until you could get the 3000/4000 series fairly easily after the initial rush after launch? I managed to get a 3070 last time but I feel like I have no chance getting a 5080!

Looking forward to reviews coming out. Going to be fun reading the comments here.

I am happy with my 4070Ti and with the RTX upgrades coming I may not bother upgrading at all myself. Every game that has a release date that I am interested will run fine for my needs.

But a shiny 5070Ti would be nice :p

I am really enjoying all this sensible talk this morning. You folks may save me £1,939. Please keep it up a little longer.

You know you'll order one come the 30th when the big green button appears :D

I think most going for the 5090 just want the best no matter what. If going for the sensible choice, the 4090 wasn't sensible either, none of the high end cards are. They all depreciate very quickly and give limited image quality gains compared to cheaper alternatives.

Sensible choices are the PS5, 4070 series in terms of performance per $ and bang for buck etc.

This is all just Jensen's game.

First he leaked really high prices and everyone thought the 5090 was going to cost £3000 and got sad. Then he came out on stage and said no my child, it's only £2k, and there was much rejoicing.

Then he downplayed the performance using DLSS smoke and mirrors, and one real comparison in the 5090's worst performing game. Everyone sad again.

Reviews drop and BOOM. It's actually 300% faster than a 4090 and comes with free copies of the Witcher 4 and GTAVI in the box, exclusive to Nvidia 5000 series until they launch for everyone else in 2 years time. Surprise.

so to sum up 310 pages of this thread. 40 series owners are happy and laugh at the pitiful generational up tick and won't be upgrading and will wait for the 60 series but keep coming to the 50 series thread to let us know. 30 series and below will be buying and look forward to the big jump in performance.

+1!

The amount of time invested by 40 owners stating they won't be updating to 50 series every 5 minutes could have been used as labour to buy several 5090's

4090 is the new 1080ti and they gonna let everyone know. Was the same with RTX2000 - pages of owners saying no to upgrade

Jensen when he launches RTX 6000 series: RTX4000 gamers, it's now safe to upgrade

You're missing all those 4090 owners who just have to have the latest and greatest, and quite a few are upgrading to the 5090.
