NVIDIA 780 Ti Announced (18/10/13)

It is silly to be hoping for 780 TI 8GB :)

We might need it once games start using DX 11.2.Was there not a tech demo using 9GB of textures with some new 11.2 feature? I think it was unifiying video and system ram so massive textures could be used in new games.

Also makes it handy for PS3 and Xbox coding as both sport 8GB GDDR5.I could also go for system ram in favour of 8GB 3000mhz instead of 16GB 2400 but one being faster than the other at the same price point nearly.

Belive it or not a good 2400 kit will tank a 3000 kit, the high mhz mfr kits have dire perf due to high trfc that can rarely be taken down. They are simply for show and mhz records, nothing more.

Bleh i wanted to break or get 12k physics on 3dm11 for 24/7 use.4600mhz is around 11500 so i was looking something to tank it to the evenly rounded 12k and satisfy my rounded numbers fetish.Back to the drawing board none of the 2400 kits really floated my boat.Anything i should focus on at £170 max or wait a month or so?

I was going to build 4770k 780TI 8-16GB of insane ram.I will consult 8 pack i think!

I learnt about mfr's the hard way...by accidently buying a kit, 2933 c12 barely managed to beat 1866 c11!

Lesson learned: always ask 8 pack before buying ram for clocking :D

Mine will do 2500mhz 9-11-11-25 1T 96 without any extra volts, I can get them up to 2600mhz 10-12-12-31 1T but the performance is no where near as good as it is between 2400mhz to 2500mhz.

If I was using them on Haswell I could probably go higher but the performance would be poor.

Fastest way to get 12k on physics in 3dmark11 is to slap an i7 3770k in there.

According to TechPowerUP, GTX 780 Ti should replace the GTX 780 at the current pricepoint, meaning GTX 780 should get cheaper now.

must have missed that earlier, good times if it replaces GTX 780 price and 780 gets a price cut. Would be tempted to grab one if the ti has 2880 and 3GB-6GB vram. It's possible if they gimp compute as to not affect Titan or Tesla sales.. Could perform way better than Titan in games.

Nah that defeats the whole point.I have a rounded number hard to reach fetish with physics scores.for example the 3570k beating 10k i managed 9679 and gave up and i benched at 4800mhz 2400mhz

4600 is really as far as it is going to go to be honest.I would take one of the binned bundles but the motherboard and and ram suck.So im going to play the DSR lotto and make up the last few hundred points with some fantastic clocking ram hopefully.Without going IVY-E there is not many people hitting 12k for normal use.And the graphics scores would be superior to the IVY-E due to the Haswell IMC and memory used.

If you are running 4 memory modules, try taking 2 out and running 3dmark11.
