NVIDIA 780 Ti Announced (18/10/13)

I'm basing them off of - http://videocardz.com/nvidia/geforce-700/geforce-gtx-780-ti

I know they aren't accurate and are to be taken with a truck load of salt but basing the specs off of previous TI versions I cant see there being a huge difference between the 780 and TI version.

Cheers.

They will be sending out cards to reviewers in the next few days, so shouldn't be long till verification. I think for me and you, it isn't an option but for those mulling over a 290X....Who knows :)

We may have more members on the green team soon :p

If prices go down on the standard reference 780's by a bit once these are out I might pick up a 3rd for 3 Way SLI :D

Think they gonna do what they just with 770? Rebadge old GPU, increasing voltage, and clock it very high, toss in a high GPU boost and tada they got a new card that's faster?

A 780 with a few more cuda cores unlocked and more memory is just silly IMO, The performance difference between these 780's will be tiny, Why not just bring the Titans price down instead of releasing this "Scraping the bottom of the barrel" idea.

Thats what gibbo reckons it will be - a cost-reduced titan, probably less memory and some of the compute performance stuff burnt off (so the FP runs more 780 speed than titan speed (theres a 8x speed difference IIRC)).

I would agree with that prediction - but only time will tell - maybe not until much nearer to release unless they think theres mileage to be had or the need to take some (more) sting out of the 290x. An overclocked 780 makes no sense.

Not sure if already posted, Anand seem to think the 780ti could be $649, this would mean a price cut for the reg 780 as well.

That's got to be the most pointless table I've seen out of all the recent GFX card rumours.

They have guessed at the price - pitching it the same as the 780, but with a ? caveat. But then couldn't even be bothered to speculate on the specs.

Great, so all it really tells us is that it is called a 780Ti. Really expect more from Anand.

If the 290X and 780Ti end up being similar in performance, is it wrong to go for the 780Ti purely because it is nicer looking?

Nvidia sure make a preddy cooler. Don't AMD realise gamers have moved on from the Kempston Joystick days?

Now you are talking. I loved my Kempston Joystick :D

That's a table for page hits only. Nowt worth looking at on there at all.

GTX 780 Ti
Stream Processors = 2496
Texture Units = 208
ROPs = 48
Core Clock = 928MHz
Boost Clock = 980MHz
Memory Clock = 6GHz GDDR5
Memory Bus Width = 384-bit
VRAM = 4.5gb
FP64 = 1/24 FP32
TDP = 250W
Transistor Count = 7.1B
Manufacturing Process = TSMC 28nm
Launch Price = $649

That's better

It sure makes interesting reading and may wait to see where this goes before upgrading to a 29" widescreen. Looks like AMD have some work to do, will the prospect of mantle be enough to keep AMD users on board.

Arrgghh Now I'm thinking about selling my 780s while I can still get good money for them. Question is though at 1400p do I really need any more vram? I'm thinking future proof but I never hang on to them more than a year anyways. Won't bother asking kaap what he's doing........

Very curious to where this puts the Titan. We will see shortly I'm sure :). Price is is anyone's guess.

The Titan 2 will be well above it. ;)

I suppose this is a bit like the GTX285 compared to the 280, except they're using "Ti" rather than add five. :p

Why can't I pre-order this now? It doesn't matter what the specs are or how much it costs, AMD have shown us the way it is meant to be payed.
