NVIDIA 780 Ti Announced (18/10/13)

4k Surround... The cards got enough Vram for that but nothing else :P

Makes you feel just as good as those 670 owners with 4gb vram.

Yes, 4k stuff is pretty useless atm.

I personly think the 780ti a 8xxxx series card they had for release later on. and are now releasing it to stump Amds 290x. Because was it not rumoured that the new amd card was a 780 stomper ?. and since NVidia released the 780ti have they now put back the release of the new amd card.
I think its just one up man ship, which is very good for the end users us. and it means they will release cards they have had stacked up for later release now rather than later ?

hmmm...so 780 @ $650 < Titan @ $1000 < 780Ti @ $700

The 780 and Titan are going to have to drop in price big time then. I would surely be ticked if I were an owner of either, even it Nvidia did drop the DP performance of the Titan in the Ti.

Nice to see AMD shaking it up again, even if they have moved up the price scale a bit.

I dont think it will matter to a lot of people on here but I would imagine AMD will lose sales as people who dont keep as up to date will now see the 780ti as the card to buy purely because its getting a lot of press. If AMD had banged the 290x straight out it would have been at the fore-front of peoples minds but now this has overshadowed it publicity wise. As I said though it wont matter to us but to someone just wanting a new fast top end card they will see more of the 780ti

These comments of Titan/780 owners will be angry and kicking themselves if Titan drops or 780 drops in prices is pure comedy. I have had my Titan since day 1 of release (day 2 technically because of posting) and had all these months of gaming on it. If it dropped tomorrow to £400, I would be over the moon and snap 2 more up :D

True. It's a shame AMD dragged their feet like they did. And props to Nvidia for a quick response.

But still the pricing issue's bother me.

Well, that's good to hear. I'm really not sure how long the Titan has been out...

Personally though, It still bugs me I paid $300 for a 7870...lol

I guess my concerns are more for someone who has recently bought.

I have owned it since Feb this year, so plenty of use. I did have 2 but a moment of weakness about 3 months ago saw me go down to 1 :( I am surprised the price is still high in honesty and begging it to drop so I can get another. I don't think anyone who bought one at launch expected it to still be this high (or maybe that was just me) :)

It's going to be interesting to see what Nvidia does with the DP performance of the Ti, as that's the biggest difference in it from the 780.

With the 780 and the Titan being so close to each other in gaming performance (within an easy OC) it is the DP performance that sets Titan apart, yes...?

So if the Ti sits above the Titan in gaming perforamnce, that seems to leave the Titan in an odd posistion, being slotted as #2 when it really is the superior card.

If Nvidia were to keep the DP performance for the Ti, it would seem the Ti is just an overclocked Titan. If so why add a third SKU? Just raise the clocks of the Titan...? Titan Ti or such.

Three top tier cards like that so close in gaming performance would be tough for a vendor like, say, EVGA who likes to sell three or so versions of a card. Not much meat left on the bone for them.

Perhaps Nvidia IS going to retire Titan, returning it to their workstation line?

I'm still optimistic about 2880 Cores, not sure about 12GB lol, I imagine there will be 3GB / 6GB variants. Without DP so Titan isn't affected. Some places are hinting at a lot more info next week. Roll on benchmarks of 780ti and 290X (If AMD ever release it).

the GTX 780 Ti may have 2880 Cuda cores while having a 384-bit memory interface and up to 12GB GDDR5 memory
