NVIDIA 780 Ti Announced (18/10/13)

It's heavily AMD biased here, it's ok to hype up AMD releases but if you do the same to an Nvidia release, you become a 'fanboy' or 'it's sad to like a brand'. Like all of sudden it's now serious because the beloved AMD isn't being praised. The ironic thing is, these same people don't realize they do it all. I started getting behind Nvidia when the AMD GPU hype train left the station, it was funny to me :). Now the train has been derailed people are getting upset.

Oh well don't let it bother you, I'm looking forward to the 780ti, AMD botched their release imho, Nvidia shouldn't of had this chance to (As someone else put) steal AMD's thunder but they allowed it to happen. How much is the 290X? When it is available? See the problem.. AMD brought it on themselves.

Remember Charlie (Semi accurate) saying Nvidia had no answer until Q4 2014...

Their will be a lot of upset on here now..

Sorry Boomstick i don't buy that at all. No matter how often it's repeated.
The loudest and most vocal voices on this forum are from Nvidia fanboys. There may be more AMD users but that's a different thing entirely.

Just giving you my honest completely unbiased opinion ;). Btw both my rigs are currently using nvidia cards (Titan and 480SLI) and i intend on getting a couple of 290xs so i don't fall in to either category.

It's funny you act in the same way as the people you are calling ironic. Ironic isn't it? AMD hype annoys you, yet you are already hyping up GTX780Ti in your own way. The way AMD have marketed R9 290X has become pathetic IMHO over the past few weeks and it should have been released by now. Having said that I would hardly call it "derailed" because Nvidia announced a new GPU. We have known for a while now that Nvidia had a new GK110 based GPU planned. You created the thread yourself.

For all we know GTX780Ti will be Nvidia's way of competing with R9 290X without having to rely on simply reducing Titan prices. I predict GTX780 Ti will be a cut down Titan with a clock boost, the DP removed and less VRAM.

I agree that R9 290X should have been released by now, but it will definitely still be a major event that almost everyone here will be waiting for. We know it is available soon and if the performance is above Titan and prices are below GTX780 AMD will have delivered.

The clue is in the name "SEMIaccurate" :)

In all honesty I can see me just settling for 780's if they drop weeks before the TI because I'm getting bored not gaming. It's only going to be a card for a year anyway if that.

Lol! i hadn't forgotten ;) I was hoping to quote you on that when the 290x arrived :D

I am sitting ready with my mouse hovering over the volts in AB ready to take on those pesky 290X's. The same will be for the 780Ti and they have to beat my scores for the GPU in the Futuremark bench threads before I fully admit I was wrong :D
