NVIDIA Demonstrates Witcher 3 With Hair Works – Talks Hair Simulation, Next-Gen FleX PhysX and Turbu

The tricks game devs do is pretty laughable, anyone remember BIA hells highway? They released a video that was meant to be actual gameplay, even had the command prompts etc included but later on was shown to be a pre-render. Game was still good just didn't look as good as the pre-render obviously.

This game obviously did look better than it does currently at one stage.

Wow, some of you really need to get a grip on your sense of entitlement.

Your using 'entitlement' in the wrong context.

It would be correct if the game was free, as whatever state it was in would be ok. As it's a product you need to pay for or buy with another products promotion a person can expect it to look like it did when it was first shown, if they lost interest as it now (At launch) is different, that doesn't mean their 'entitled' it means they don't want the different product. They wanted what was first shown. That isn't a sense of entitlement, it's a choice based on what was shown and what was delivered.

They will vote with their wallets no doubt.

So if I shown you a video of a product, you then paid me upon pick up it was something different to what was shown is that false advertising or would you be fine with that?

What they should have done, couple weeks back is released a statement explaining what changes have been made.. Not leaving it till its gone gold.

Exactly.

Pretty much every game developer ever has shown 'footage' that was not representative of the final product. Claims of false advertising are ludicrous in their inaccuracy.

If it has playability like The Witcher and The Witcher 2, I will be happy. More than just Graphics make a game for me.

Yeah it looks like a great game. If you didn't care about graphics you wouldn't run a Titan X Gregster, you would have a 960 and be happy with medium / high.

Would you not be happier if the developers had taken advantage of your Titan X's power and delivered on the games graphics shown early on, to go with your great game-play.

Just wish there wasn't smoke and mirrors early on. It really needs to stop.

People get excited about 'E3' I don't know why any-more, whatever they show you can guarantee it won't look anything like that at retail.

Meh.

Nope. I'm using it absolutely correctly. Some of you are ludicrous man children who need to get a grip.
You don't understand this conversation, you think trolling people that are disappointed in something, that doesn't look at retail what it did early on makes it ok to troll them. Your the man child, need to grow up. This was as adult conversation until you joined in.

Me and you have been around so long, we know the score. For as long as I can remember, they have demonstrated games pre-launch and the graphics don't match up when the game does launch. I even watch TV adverts and see "In-Game footage" that doesn't look like that when I play. I tend to not get wrapped up in what it was and what it is and generally take it as it is. I will give judgement when the game is launched (which I got for around £17 from a key site) and if the graphics are poor, of course I will be disappointed but if the gameplay is there, I will be happy. I bought The Witcher 2 for its gameplay and they added a HD patch a while after launch, so maybe this will be the same.... Who knows but only a couple of days till launch :)

Yeah I totally agree mate :), but those that are disappointed that the graphics aren't what they were like when the game was first shown have a valid reason to express their opinion in being disappointed. It doesn't make them 'entitled' as some have tried to convey lol.

I think the game will be amazing just like the last two, but I am disappointed that the graphics aren't anything as good as the early promos were. I wish they would just stop doing this sort of bait and switch altogether. There is no need for it, it doesn't add anything if anything it takes away from the game at launch. Witcher 3's graphics are still pretty but we were shown what it could have been had the focus been on PC rather than the bottom bar (Xbone). would have been better never to shown that footage but rather show what is actually possible in reality from the start. Just not a fan of false advertising..

Wonder bra's, GTX 970, Watchdogs, Witcher 3 it needs to stop :p

It's Boom. He condemns everything, a few seconds later he'll backtrack as...**** knows, it's Boom.

Ha, not condemning the game, condemning false advertising... Um again.. Lol.

Ignore my ignorance but seen that said a couple of times (the bootom bar xbone). Where was this info posted bud? Interested to have a read, as I did watch a vid with CDPR saying that they have not downgraded but optimised the game.

When they originally started work on the Witcher 3 the 'Next gen' consoles spec wasn't finalized. The early videos shown was of the Witcher 3 running on a then high end PC. When the Xbone spec finalized they had to start with that spec (Lowest bar) in mind and then scale up for PS4 (Resolution / FPS) and then PC.

So what was shown early on wasn't what was actually possible in reality with development being focused on console first and then scaled up for PC.

But you are, as the game isn't even out

Haven't you seen the reviews / game footage? That's finalized code. That is how it looks VS the original. There are images in this thread.

The game itself looks brilliant, the graphics are big downgrade from early footage, smoke and mirrors, bait and switch that's what I don't like..

Excellent post boom

Let the game release and hear what cdpr have to say on it in the coming weeks, can't believe some of you lot are putting them in the same category as Ubisoft already.

I have little doubt this will be one of the best games of the decade.
