NVIDIA Demonstrates Witcher 3 With Hair Works – Talks Hair Simulation, Next-Gen FleX PhysX and Turbu

I bet Sony and MS have a big say in how the PC version will look. Let's face it PC's are capable of far better visuals than we get to see. Nearly every game is only a bit better looking on PC. Makes you wonder if the console makers set a limit for the PC versions.

Might be true might not ?

Holy mother of god! massive downgrade.

I've cancelled my pre-order of Witcher 3.

I'll see how it plays out, but I'm reserved to the fact I believe it's not going to be the same quality of what we were shown before, it's Watchdogs all over again to me.

No released software, game or otherwise, looks like it does in the promos. Never has.

Not really true, stuff doesn't suddenly just take a massive IQ degradation.

Perhaps a few things get removed, like Assassins Creed 1. The VERY early stuff was slightly different to release, like how you could cut wood on stands to make them fall, which'd kill guards etc. This was "dumbed down" so you could just throw people into them and it'd kill them.

Dark Souls 2
All the Killzones (not even a PC game, still degraded from the early code)

Exceptions rather than the rule.

I do remember dark souls though.
Obviously, I'm not denying it does happen ; Colonial Marines.

But what's happened here is far far from the norm.

Besides, you've made a blanket statement, an absolute.

Colonial Marines wasn't it? Gameplay looked nothing like the demos, i still kept my preorder. I just flat out refused to play the game :p

DS2 they released the real version later down the line, so you effectively paid twice for the game.

hehe, I can see it now,, "buy the PS4 version, it gives you more...................boats"

More seriously, other than the application of AA (the edges look a lot cleaner in some of the PC shots) they don't look that different at all.

I hate how in the youtube interview the guy says that comparing game trailers and such is unfair. Those are the only things we can go on when ordering as consumers. It's a sad state when we can't even trust something called a gameplay trailer to be a decent idea of the game.
