Looks alright to me.

I still think the city scenes will be more telling, those 2 comparison pics are a night and day difference, 1 looks incredibly detailed and the other looks like something out of a 5 year old game.

This comparison gif seems to be probably the main one that has people fuming. It's not even texture quality there just seems to be overall less detail and geometry, you can see more buildings in between the buildings in the more detailed one, and the less detailed one seems to be missing that. Distance could be a factor in not seeing the other buildings though i suppose as the better one is taken a bit further back.

Wait until tuesday and try it for your self?

Usual posters in the sub, as usual, are looking for something to jump on and hate on, you can't keep them happy, EVER. The bloody games not even out yet and already CDPR have been shoved in the same stable as Ubisoft, its laughable really, no wonder some devs find it hard and appealing to tender to the PC gamer crowd.

I've seen politicians with more gumption then posters in this sub :p

Not a type of game that appeals to me so doesn't bother me much either way. Just surprised me when i seen what is considered to be the before and after with the dev saying that not much has changed.

That's what i'll be doing, the screens i've seen look gorge to me. Nothing to be disappointed in. I must admit though, i did kinda jump the gun due to the gifs Fin posted (should have ignored them, as they were posted by...well, him :p)

I just looked and instantly shrugged them off, I'll see for my self, we don't know the settings scope or what was used in the other gif's, we also don't know what CDPR have in store for the future of the game :)

Even in the eventuality the visuals have been nerfed, it still might (will) be a great game, with 100+ hours of game play and free DLC, yet still the complaints :)

The better shot is actually closer, the wooden arch is much bigger so is the barrels and the tree and the worst looking shot is further away.

Spend the money and then find out you've been conned? Doesn't make sense to me, given what we've already seen.

This is all based on the stuff we've already seen from recent builds, and CDPR's unwillingness to engage on the issue. Do you really think the PC version will unlock on Tuesday and the visuals will be on par with the 2013 demos instead of the lowest common denominator version that is being shown now? Seems unlikely.

CDPR have go no one to blame but themselves for the backlash, as they are the ones that decided to throw the version they promised to PC users under the bus to chase the console money.

Well then if that's the case some of the buildings in the background appear to have been removed, if you can't see them from further back =/

Why do you have to buy it on Tuesday to find out how it runs? The net and these forums will be rife of reports on such things, like what you see then, buy it, if not, keep your money.

Whats being shown, we don't know what settings were used, we will howerver, find out when the game is released.

Stop being so hasty :)

Looking for something to jump on? Wtf are you talking about? They showed us a completely different looking game from the one they admitted to *******ising. It doesn't ****ing matter if it's not out yet.

With all due respect, maybe you should take your own advice then and stop with that pretentious holier-than-thou attitude until the game's released? So far, there's a lot more evidence it's been gimped big time so why aren't we allowed to feel disappointed or talk about it? Stop acting like some sort of a holy defender and accept that people have different opinions on the subject. You think the game looks great? Good for you. In my opinion, even including that stuff you posted, it doesn't. It's a far cry from actual 2014 gameplays, let alone the older trailers. In what way does that make me a hater? I don't see people here jumping on those who think the game looks great. How does that work?

It's a good game but something's clearly wrong with its visuals and the devs stated multiple times we won't see much improvement over the console versions. Some Polish reviews even went as far as to call the drop in quality "ridiculous". Thousands of people see the problem. Do you think it's isolated to a bunch of blokes on OCUK? CDPR has made enough contradictions and false statements regarding the downgrade that you'd have to be two spanners short of being a complete toolbox not to notice they're dodging the issue.

Since people have been playing the PC version early looking at the screenshots and videos they made should give a good judgment.

You've played it and experienced it then?

Have you?

Lots of gameplay videos, previews, reviews, comparisons, etc showing a big graphical downgrade. Where are the ones showing the graphics as good as the 2013 videos? Where are the statements from the devs assuring us that the PC version looks as good as we were expecting and hasn't been downgraded to the lower spec consoles?
