**Nvidia G-Sync owners thread**

If the input lag is good on the 4k gsync monitors they could be decent for FPS gaming. Having only 1 display port seems to have really helped half the input lag on the SWIFT compared to normal 120/144hz panels. Of course going from 120/144hz back to 60hz is a no go for some people but anyone upgrading from a 60hz 1080p/1440p to 4k should be fairly happy I presume, or anyone who isn't fussed about being competitive in FPS.

I don't think it's the 60hz that would affect my scores, they didn't really change between 60hz and 144hz when I changed it was just easier on the eye, the biggest difference would be aiming well at 4k res, we all know lower resolutions still seem best, people still play CS at silly low resolutions.

I'm surprised you didn't see a big difference between 60hz to 144hz. I couldn't go back now, it would be painful. Honestly I feel that 4K is a bit of a gimmick and not ideal for desktop use.

That said, I did have have a chance to see some of the new 100" Samsung 4K curved TV's and they were simply amazing. Shame there is not allot of content out there.

Anyone know if the Acer 4k one has ULMB mode on it as well as g-sync. Bought a 3rd GPU while slightly drunk the other day, Whoops!!!! and am hoping to use ULMB mode if i can, depending on how the 3 way SLI works out as have never tried it before. Got to keep away from the drink, too much temptation to spend cash on new stuff without any logical calm thinking kicking in.

I don't think anyone is 100% sure on this, on one hand nvidia say all gsync monitors will get ulmb, on the other they say operation starts at something like 85hz, so which statement is correct we probably won't know until the monitor surfaces.

This. When I read that about all G-Sync monitors will get ULMB support, I did some more digging but it is a little sketchy and no solid evidence I could find.

I doubt ULMB will be available at 60hz unless the gsync module thats in that monitor has a newer revision that allows direct control over the strobe itself (which is something people have wanted since it was announced, but not yet available). Can't see it personally though.
