**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Yep, NV said the standard 1080 will take a price cut to $499 so that's £499.99 for us.

They were £529 last week the gigabyte 1080

I'm out at £700 if we actually see them at this price in the U.K.

Nv can go **** themselves

Seems my easy shuffle was timed to perfection

I'll be packing in gaming for the next few months anyway

I am surprised that he said will be available next week given there have been like no accurate leaks of the specs. Definitely tempted to pick one up and replace my 970 SLI.

Leaks mainly come from giving information to 3rd party vendors . they've been stocking tje chips for a while, and 3rd parties knew of the actual Ti specs very late. Internal mails went out listed expected prices last week to them.

Feel sorry for XP owners, this time around really have been bent over with Ti and Nvidia

Personally I found the Titan XP way too expensive but at the end of the day it was a premium card and if you bought it you knew what you were getting into. Not to mention you will have had that level of performance 6 months before the Ti comes so I don't think they will be too peeved.

I'm surprised at the price and the cuts to the 1080, although they've been milking customers for nearly a year with those so it's not going to hurt them much.

Think Gibbo and vendors have said the 1080 sells very very well, guessing to fight a decline , price drop, as well as keep Vega close in check . smart move, just need UK MPs and Gov to pull fingers out and get stuff sorted to increase the exchange rate of the pound :)

I did say a while back that they could well cut the price of the 1080/70 and bring in the Ti at the 1080 price point. A shame the pound is weak but my funds are ready.

I'd be tempted at the £700 mark as I'm playing The Division again and the 1070 doesn't quite cut it maxed out at 1440. I'm still hoping AMD can bring something out around 1080 performance so I can switch to FreeSync and save money on monitors too.

Yeah used, doubt the HoF will drop to £499 either. I returned the card though as I couldn't get it to output any picture using DisplayPort or HDMI, so guess I've been quite lucky as we'll see £400 used prices after that announcement.

I think we'll see less than £400 used now

If we see sub £499 ones new

Fair point on monitors and makes sense if you don't have a sync model already, as the G-Sync price is high. I am still happy as larry with my Swift, so NVidia for me still. I am pretty excited to get an upgrade and 35% over my 1080 isn't to be sniffed at, even though I don't really need it. The Division is my main game and plays well on the 1080 at 1440P but I never turn down a few more frames.

I've got a Swift atm but wanting an ultrawide that's not a grand :D

Just wait for Volta you're going to lose a chunk on that 1080 you bought on release
