**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Let's see what the price of the partner cards are...

The 1080FE was over priced

I have the feeling it will be the other way around this time :(

It was claimed during the presentation demo that the FE was running 2GHz at 66°C under load, so the partner cards may not be as important this time around. Bucket of salt of course, wait for reviews, etc.

why are ppl saying the OCUK will sell the 1080ti way above the official Nvidia £699 asking price?

Also 1080ti annouced but when will the release date be or when will ppl get them?

And lastly is it gonna blast past the 1080 performace by a heavy margin? will people go nuts and sewll the 1080s for the ti version?

They played a video running 2ghz I'm sure of it....

I think it was the MHz being sustained (a number nobody was able to achieve in the real world) with a 'quick overclock out of the box' (or words to that effect) at the 1080 FE launch that was the thing, not primarily the temperature in that case. But yes, the claims in the TI presentation did very much put me in mind of that.

Dunno. It'd be kinda dumb to try selling it for more than it can be bought for at the official Nvidia website. As far as I know, OCUK isn't dumb when it comes to marketing stuff, so I guess they'll go for 699 for the bog-standard 1080ti and bank on customer loyalty/customer service/etc.

They claimed 35% better performance at default and at least 15% more with an overclock. So that would total at least 50% better performance if those claims are true. 50% would be heavy if true, we wait to find out.
