**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Seem ok to me mate. Take the results for The division as an example for both cards overclocked.

1080ti - 58.9
980ti - 33.7

58.9/33.7= 1.747

174% which is what the graph has it as. I also tried a few other games and it worked out.

Hover your mouse over the 980Ti overclocked results for the percentages to pop up, this is on the second graph.

Its my maths lol. I got confused when i took 980Ti performance 33.7 dividided it by 1080Ti performance because i wanted to know how much faster it was.

33.7/58.9 then multiplied it by 100 to get 57.21% faster. So i was like mehhh? Then started trying to work out 10% after that haha.

i always got confused working out percentages.

i'm still confused. If i use 1080Ti as a baseline as 100% so 58.9 and take 57.21% off which i do by multiplying 58.9 by 0.5721 i get 33.69..... It would be 33.7 but i left off some numbers after 0.5721....

Is this wrong? because 100 multiplied by 0.5 = 50 which is 50%? no so 0.57 has to be 57%? and etc.

So is the 1080Ti only 57-58% faster or should i shut up because i am getting confused and being stupid? lol.

It's how i see it because if i was shopping and something was priced at £58.90 and it had a reduction of 57.21% it would be around £33.69
so £58.90 is only 57.21% more than £33.69?

So potentially the 980Ti is only 57% slower?

Yea i'm sure my maths is right. And those percentages did look wrong on that website. Working it out for other games and i'm getting the same.

You take smallest number first (980Ti) and divide it by the larger number (1080Ti) to get your percentage value. To work it out the other way around, take your percentage value 0.58214% for example and multiple that number by 1080Ti FPS and you will get the 980Ti FPS. It's how i'm working it out.

Should be increase (difference between the two) divided by the original number and multiplied by 100.

58.9-33.7 = 25.2
25.2/58.9*100= 42.78% faster.

100% = 1
So 50 x 0.5 = 25

So i'm doing it right?
Because if i saw something that said 50% off and it was priced at 50 quid id expect to see 25 price tag. Or other way around if prices went up 50% ontop of 50 quid then 75 quid right?

Just figured out why i read what I wrote back and it didnt look right lol. Worked it out as decrease lol.

But yeah 74.7% is correct.

50/25 = 2.00 x 100 = 200% ?

So its 200% faster in this scenario?

using my maths its 50% quicker.

No it would be 100% faster. You have to look at it like the gtx980ti starts at 100%. It is twice as fast though.

If 0 is 0% and 25 is 100% then 50 is 200%. 200-100 is 100% faster

If you start at 50 which is now your 100% and want to know what 25 is then it's 50%. So this would be 50% of the performance.
