**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

I asked yesterday where i was in the queue for the Strix OC (i ordered on 30th March so i know im well down the pecking order, but im in no hurry). I was told they couldnt provide that info to me??? - She did say there were 130 pre orders for the strix OC so im probably in the 100-130 section. How others are getting the exact number they are in the queue i dont know????

Tbh I think they just guess for other people just to get them off of the phone ;) :D :p

from 1080s if people order via amazon, it shows a black hole of where people are at it just shows the amount of pre-orders.

so they know between 100-130 is where your at but not exactly (due to others using amazon pay)

Thanks man, changed my order. At least i got a tenner bonus for the wait.

No worries, review has the Aorus top of the chart I believe .
Does help Gigabyte reps are on here as well. I have ordered Zotac in the past, Trade prices are massively different, but always have to pay extra to go with OCUK because they handle RMA on them and any card really. Pain sending it to Hong Kong haha

Please let me know if I'm not allowed to post this here, I'll remove it.

First review up on TPU https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Gigabyte/GTX_1080_Ti_Xtreme_Gaming/
Two interesting little extracts:

Compared to both the ASUS STRIX and MSI Gaming X, the Gigabyte card comes with higher clocks out of the box, uses less power, and runs as quiet (ASUS) or quieter (MSI). So far, it's the best GTX 1080 Ti I've reviewed.

What did surprise us is the low default power target, which causes the card to run slightly slower due to hitting the TDP limit in gaming, which limits the Boost Clock range. On the other hand the adjustment range is much bigger than on competing cards and goes all the way right up to the 375 W limit defined by the power input configuration, which also means upgrading the power plugs from 6+8 to 8+8 was a justified move and is not just for show like we've seen on other cards.

I saw on the ASUS ROG instagram feed a whole stack of TI OC cards...... They are somewhere, hopefully in a truck or being off loaded from a truck into the OCUK stock by now lol. Will i get a card by the weekend? Very doubtful i guess. :(

  • I was going to ring them today to find out where I am in the queue, but I don't think I will bother now, I guess they are sick of people ringing up and asking...I guess I will have to be patience :)

You shouldn't feel this way. You paid loads of money for a product you don't even have. Nothing wrong with wanting to find out where's the item you paid for is.

i had a reply that said i wasn't in the first batch and they were waiting for an eta on the next batch and i was 10th in the list. nothing since. Quick enough to take the money!

God bless you Smogsy...God bless you. I've been trying to find results for The Witcher 3 with hairworks on for ages but every review always has hairworks off.
just to point out
@ICEx21
Hairworks @ 8X = 50-75FPS
Hairworks @ 4X 55-80FPS
Hairworks @ 2x 60-85FPS
Hairworks @ AA OFF 70-100FPS

to be honest couldnt notice diff between x2/4+

Anyone here pick up the Gigabyte OC gaming? How much of an overclock can you get? Only had 15 minutes to try a few games but was boosting into 19xxmhz and was very cool and quiet. Can you get much of an overclock on these factory overclock cards? As I understand it the 10xx cards dont OC nearly as well as the 9xx cards.

I know its hard waiting guys but im sure that OCUK are doing their very best to get these cards out to the customers. I have no doubt that as soon as they come in through the door they get them straight out again to people in the order that they were pre ordered in. If you are lucky you will come down the list as people drop out and go for cards that are in stock such as FEs.
