**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

I'm sure they are and imagine they're being inundated with requests for updates. However, to suppress the needs of the masses for these updates, it would be nice to see some actual updates regarding deliveries. Seeing other members with their cards already is nothing but frustrating and clearly competitors have units already! I am actually tempted to cancel my pre-order and buy elsewhere but I know it won't be the card I actually want.

I asked yesterday where i was in the queue for the Strix OC (i ordered on 30th March so i know im well down the pecking order, but im in no hurry). I was told they couldnt provide that info to me??? - She did say there were 130 pre orders for the strix OC so im probably in the 100-130 section. How others are getting the exact number they are in the queue i dont know????

That's really weird perhaps it is because you payed through amazon pay that they can't really tell? I just sent a webnote less than 2 hours ago and I got a reply saying I was 103 in queue. Really hoping I get in on the first batch as I can really use this thing.

Seeing a competitor getting the MSI Sea Hawk X then sell out and Overclockers seems not to have not gotten a single one is a bit gutting considering I preordered mine on the 10th of March

I'm as frustrated as everyone else who hasn't received pre orders yet, still waiting for the amp extreme, I'm getting really miffed as to nvidia announcing new gpu's way too early ! Why don't they wait until they have sent sufficient quantities of boards to aib partner's, 1st and last time i pre order a gpu.

I exampled this once in a thread and got flamed for it as no one believed it happens like this.

Nvidia may announce a product early or late but what really effects 3rd party cards is when Nvidia pass on details to said vendors and take chip orders.

I stated with the Ti that Nvidia told 3rd party vendors about the actual card very very late, some thought the new Workstation card was going to change everything, but it didn't. This leads to Vendors having to buy FE cards under their own name from NV as well as rush into production there own. Yes most like asus, Gigabyte, MSI have a uniform PCB like the Gaming X/ Strix which is easier to modify to accept new chip, throwing on the same cooler can also cut time, but then you have EVGA and FTW3 which is building from the ground up .

NV are here to make money, they make more money from people buying FE early from themselves and vendors. end of story. and its gotten worse from 900 series with the Titan being locked only to themselves. Im sure Gibbo mentioned this also heard OCUK sales from the 900 series.

almost temps me to find the thread and laugh at everyones comment with " told you so"

and so nvidia will continue this streak with next gen as well. with the 1080/70 they had massive bad timings with Chinese holidays and yeah, couldn't get enough chips stock piled. but im expecting 1180/70 and Ti to be just as bad as this series.

wind is Vega could be same as Titan being reference design only but allow AIB to sell under their brand... time will tell. I hope not

Anyone here pick up the Gigabyte OC gaming? How much of an overclock can you get? Only had 15 minutes to try a few games but was boosting into 19xxmhz and was very cool and quiet. Can you get much of an overclock on these factory overclock cards? As I understand it the 10xx cards dont OC nearly as well as the 9xx cards.

I have one but haven't had chance to install it yet. Hoping to give it a go tonight or tomorrow. Any hint of coil whine on your card out of interest?

At this rate you'll be pre ordering the 1180 in August 2017 with delivery some time in Jan 2018.

It's just like Christmas getting earlier and earlier every year, with new Nvida graphics cards they hype things up earlier and earlier each generation and thus you wait longer and longer until it arrives.

Reading some of these comments, I'm very very close to cancelling and waiting for the next series

I don't see why you would get flamed for that, i agree completely, it's no surprise that it's even a struggle to get an FE cards ! That tells me alone there was never enough boards to start off with ! If people can't see that they need to take the rose tinted glasses off.

I seem to remember gibbo mentioning nvidia did not want a repeat of last time ? Well they're going the right way about it, also how come gigabyte have had so much stock already ? Are they paly paly with nvidia ? Zotac state they are a direct partner of nvidia, so why is still not a single amp card in someone's hand when zotac said last saturday that shipments started this week ?

Either zotac don't have the cards or nowhere near the resources. One things for sure i won't pre order again, I'll just wait until there's plenty of stock, nearly a thousand pound is up in the air somewhere and nothing to show for it a month later.

I'm not trolling here... but take a look at yourselves guys.

You preordered something without a launch date. You have been kept up to date with expected stock dates as far as possible by the boys in the shop. You will get your card!

If you are worried that you are almost a grand down with nothing to show for it a month later then that is noones fault but your own.

Chill out guys. I know some people are getting their cards before you but you chose to preorder from OCUK and they are doing their best to fulfil your order. You will get a card... just be patient like your momma taught you!

Don't forget that nVidia is having to supply cards to a global market with each AIB often having several different versions and some of the more popular lines are pre-ordered well into the 100s at just one retailer never mind globally with only 10-50 units a week of specific models coming through.

So anything coming through for the most part is going straight into fulfilling pre-orders.
