If true for a 980 Metal version (between the GTX980 and GTX980Ti performance) the GTX980Ti is going to be in the ~700 range

Yep, it's certainly looking that way.

Looks like the 780Ti is going to be running for a while longer yet then, because I don't think the 980 Metal is going to yield much more performance to warranty a £300 outlay (sale of 780Ti + cash).

I had a feeling Nvidia was one step ahead of everyone.

We'd better get used to it, because this is the way it's going to be unless AMD can pull a party out of their ****.

They might want to stand up first if they're going to do that though.

AMD releases new 'most powerful GPU'.

2 weeks later Nvidia beat it by 10-15% with their latest card, at £x00 more.

I wish AMD would release a stonking card at a rock bottom price, just to kick some competition off and stop Nividia being able to charge what they want for their top-end cards.

Hmmm. Good news if it comes next month as it will help me decide what to do for a new gaming specific build soon. If the 980Ti is near enough the £700 mark, I will most likely dip into the Titan X again if you can get one for just £150 more.

Much as I like Nvidia's products, it is getting a little worrying that they are going to have a monopoly on the GPU market very very soon.

All fun and games this speculation aint it...

"If" , This is a "rumour" nothing official ATM.

Nvidia don't need to lower there prices due to people still buying there cards. there is no point for them to lower the price.

If we want Nvidia to lower prices then we need to stop buying Nvidia cards. Lots of people get annoyed at Nvidia for the prices, yet still buy?

I personally don't mind paying these prices, but hey thats just me i guess

I'll buy when they drop, unless it's a total corker. I'm getting excited about the Ti, but I know as soon as I see the price it'll turn me off totally.

I bought my 780Ti after the initial release gouge and a price drop, will probably do the same in all honesty.

Dunno what everyone's getting so excited about, you can buy one now with double RAM for a slight premium.

A slight premium?

Can we swap bank accounts? I don't see £400 on top of £500 as a slight premium I see it as ** Information overload and not needed **
