Given the price the 980s are holding at, I predict these will be £650 at the very least at launch. £685 for most of the range. Called it.

I would love to be shocked at a lower price point.

I don't get how they can price these at £650 on launch when you've got 980's that are still £600. And range from £480 upwards.. going by 980 prices means that the top 980Ti would be lowest Titan X price roughly?

Doesn't make sense to me, Nvidia are certainly the Apple of the computer gaming world.

The price of the non Titan GM200 card will all depend on the price of the 390x.
Seeing as the specs of the card will have been decided ages ago, the only things that can be changed this late in the game are the clock speeds, which can be done via firmware updates before they are packaged and of course the price which can be done right at the last minute before they go on sale.

Don't expect it to be less than £700 if it tips up ahead of 390X. Or even otherwise.

Given how well the Titans seem to be selling why would they even think about launching the same card for less money, especially with the stock problems...

Have you got any figures on TITAN X sales?
I bought 2 780 Ti for £570 each on this website the day they were released.
They were the fastest Nvidia GPU around at that time, beating the original TITAN. I also bought 2 TITANs for £1702.

Not really sure what people expect re pricing, if you keep paying what they charge then they will keep putting it up and up and up. If you think its overpriced then don't buy it, its that simple. Problem is people are weak and want want want, Nvidia know this and charge what they want. I no longer buy Nvidia cards for various reasons but I will say this if Amd price the 390X too high then I am out of Pc gaming. These cards are now costing what a decent desktop costs, its crazy they will kill pc gaming and put themselves out of business in the process, they have reached the limit for me. :)

Well lets be honest we have viable options from the r9 290 / 970. They will play any game with decent settings all the way up to 1440p. Probably will do for a while to go yet.

Just because you are priced out of the top end/don't want to fork out that much then there are plenty of lower priced options that most certainly do the job.

My gut feeling is that it will be priced in the £600-£650 range.
That's not too bad, as i think that will be the final step in 60 FPS 4K gaming if using SLI.

But the bleeding edge has always been expensive has it not? There are dozens of cards around the £200+/- mark that will run games at 1080p for a long time yet.

If you want high resolutions, high frame rates and all the eye candy turned on then it's going to cost big money, and always has, if you have more realistic expectations then PC gaming can be as cheap as you like.
