**Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review Thread**

Hoping the reference EVGA comes in stock before Friday so I don't have to spend another weekend without a GPU; sitting here waiting for my order status to update :(

Yeh baby :)

Do the factory overclocked cards actually make use of their higher clocks? Isn't a reference card running at less than its peak boost clock most of the time anyway?

I might be mistaking what you're trying to ask but the whole point in a factory overclock is to, when required and not using adaptive power modes; crank it up to what they advertise it at.

If you're lucky, you'll get 100Mhz more than advertised like I have for a 970! :P

In other news, I really don't need a 980ti, I really don't.
Right? I don't.
But the improvement @ 1440p over a 970 is quite something!
Wheeeeeeeennn?!

Looking to order soon, I'm going to be sticking my card in a waterblock. Looking at the EVGA reference or the EVGA superlocked reference. Is is worth getting the superclocked over the stock reference? Or shall I go with stock and overclock it after the fact?

Still awaiting my Evga reference as I like the look of the reference ones, but if I decided down the line it needs better cooling what would the options be? Is it simple enough to buy and install aftermarket fans on it for example? And what about warranty voiding by doing so?

Cheers

I've gone with stock as I've got the same plan as you to get it under water as soon as. Went with the standard reference as I can save a bit by just OCing it myself

I've got two normal ones, I'll just flash the SC BIOS on them to get the higher base clocks.

EK-FC blocks keep looking at me wondering when the cards will arrive.

Any news on OCUK for deliveries today? Have any batches arrived? (i'm looking at the EVGA GeForce GTX 980Ti Superclocked ACX 2.0 myself)
