**Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review Thread**

Kinda torn between a choice of three aftermarket models. Three being.

gigabyte g1

msi gaming

zotac amp edition

Im a big fan of the gigabyte model due to the excellent cooler and warranty, however it costs a fair bit more than the other two. Both of which come with a free copy of batman. The cooler on the msi is great too as ive owned msi's before with the twin frozr cooler, (would look great in my current rig too). Zotac, ill be honest theyre a brand i know little off.

Spoke to Rich on chat, he said they do not know the next ETA for the EVGA cards. The dream is over boys, Here's to hoping they come into stock tomorrow, otherwise I'm in for another long weekend :(

Naff, a friend ordered one from a competitor and they contacted him once they knew of the delay and offered an alternative that they did have.

If you like all the heat dumped in your case get a custom cooler. I always buy blower style reference cards myself. Just happens Nvidia Ref cards look cool :D

I'm not interested in the reference cards whatsoever, they run insanely hot. I'm waiting for Asus Strix 980 TI reviews, if it runs cool enough and can compete with Titan X, I'm planning to purchase 2 for SLI for 1440p and 144Hz and me being a high refresh rate addict and backlight strobing junkie.
Obviously I'l only use SLI for high profile AAA games such as Witcher 3, GTAV, Far Cry 3 and 4 and plenty of upcoming games by the end of this year. So what is general consensus on SLI these days assuming these things?

Still a few niggles with new games and sli. Also, if you stick x2 non reference cooled cards close together, if board spacing is tight you could end up with temps as high/higher than reference models on the top card.
