Mind blowing performance!!!! :D :D :D

if mind blowing performance, single gtx 980 can run 4k any game at 60fps?

I ordered an EVGA GeForce GTX 980 SC at 10:20 this morning when it was showing 10+ in stock and changed my normal free delivery to Saturday for an additional £15 yet my order status is 'In our warehouse queue' ...?

Problem is I've now sold on my previous card and I'm using a GTX 580 temporarily and I just don't think my eyeballs can take much more! :(

After a bit more reading, i think the Asus 970 Strix is the best card for a silent system. The fan stops spinning if the temp is under 65c, which apparenly means it should be stopped when idle. Coupled with my Seasonic PSU that does the same, my system should be almost silent!

Just wish it wasn't so expensive compared to most of the others.

try using intel onboard mate, the wait will be worth it ;) having said that defo ask for the Saturday surcharge back if its not been dispatched, id put a post in the cs forum about it if I were you

Gone with the MSI GTX 970 to replace my Asus 7950

Tie that with my fractal design r4 and PWM NH-D14 Heatsink

I won't have to worry about noise, life is great, life is GTX 970.

MSI does this too. :)

Tempted since I'm sick of my 280x being so loud to the point I set my 144hz monitor to 60hz with vsync on to stop it being at full load....

Looks like nvidia have smashed it out of the park with the 970. I think I'm going to move from 670 SLI to a single 970. Can anyone think of any reason why I shouldn't?

I'm considering the same...more vram similar performance when overclocked (better for games that don't support sli). Less heat, a lot less power consumption.

Hugest

very nice prices, didn't expect those 980's to be sub £450!

but the 970's seem great, am i right in thinking reading some reviews, that these will be good for 4k gaming? or would that be sli only?

Even with the improvements, I'd think you still would at least need to go SLI for it to be playable in 4K.

Just out of interest Gibbo, How many of the new 970/980's have you actually sold? I see that you're pretty much sold out only a day after opening the floodgates!

Also do you happen to know if DPD's website is just feeding me BS, as it's stating monday delivery, which I'm a little disappointed with tbh ;_;
